Coolest case I've ever seen. When it's going into production??? I want one for upcoming 7i rig
I'm constantly messing with new renders, but it can be a lengthy process. I often have to wait an hour or two to see if I'm happy with the result. If not, I'll stop the render, make some changes and start again. I don't like posting renders that I'm not happy with.
The 200mm Cooler Master fan is available, but it seems only in the US and OZ at the moment. Performance PC's does ship international, but at a price! Hopefully, it will be available in Europe soon...
From what I have read about the large fans currently available, the Cooler Master fan is one of the best.
Good luck with your case build!
Watercooling UK is currently looking at making a prototype of my design, but it's still early days. I'm hoping that it will be available in the future, but that all depends on production costs, etc....
the only thing between me and this case is an ocean and a couple hundred dineros. you should post a poll to see how many people would buy it.
sexiest case ever.
hope someone will produce it!
You shouldve been at computex 2009, my dad went (he lives in taipei) and he told me how disapointed he was with thermaltakes level 10
All Black....

Best so far :)
I still fall out of my chair every time I come here. Fantastic layout.
I hold by my earlier comment regarding the design of the release for the side panels, however. Something that drops in and tilts closed, with a mechanism to lock it in place akin to the Voodoo Omen rev2 sitting on my desk just seems to be a necessity when dealing with the monstrous size of this thing. The ease I have of just pulling the catch in the back and tilting the panels out then up is the kind of detail work a case this beautiful just seems to call out for.
I'm digging for retail cases with a similar system, maybe Lian-Li has one I can point you to, as they manufactured the case for Voodoo.
EDIT: found it: Look to the Lian-Li PC-B70 & PC-B71 article here:
http://www.madshrimps.be/vbulletin/f...chassis-60356/
It includes detail images of the side panel release system:
Rear pull to release:

closeup of panel design:
http://www.madshrimps.be/vbulletin/a...insulation.jpg
hard to see, but the uppermost rail has the catches for the panel, and this slides back as the rear thumbscrew/latch is pulled back:

you can see the tabs which catch the panels there.
The bottom of the panels are simply like the front edge of yours- a tab that slips behind the bottom edge of the chassis, instead of the front edge.
Very elegant, and likely patented, but certainly inspirational, I hope.
Thanks for the kind words!
I agree, a very elegant solution. This sort of mechanism is obviously not much of a problem to manufacture for companies such Lian Li, and if they choose to manufacture a case based ob my design it will probably have such a mechanism. However, I have been trying to keep my design as simple as possible to make the fabrication as simple as possible. I believe a small workshop could manufacture my design with basic cutting and bending machines. A latching mechanism would just complicate things......
Different lighting, slightly different angle....

Someone really needs to take the plunge and get this thing built. It's great as is but until it gets put into hard format it's a lot like masturbation, fun but ultimately it isn't going to get you anywhere.
I really wish I had the dough to get something fabbed. Maybe later this year when I have money kicking around after tuition.
depending on how much it would be to fab i might think about it would have to ditch my TJ07 case build
how many rads does this hold if it holds the equivalent of 2 quads im in
and ill say this now cause someone will ask "2 quads is a waste why you doing it the air transfer delta blah blah blah"
anyways my room is freezing in the winter and i was going to get a cheap airconditioner for summer so my room will always be chilly :D
....and vice-versa! If you read the threads, you'll see that the majority of the people posting on one thread are not the same as the other, and I get double the hit-rate as well. I want as many people to see my design as I can get. It seems to be working as well, because pictures of this case are spreading to an increasing number of computer sites around the web. I can monitor this on my Photobucket stats page. Cheers Metric.
Yes no TT :)
Mick, I've been looking at the designs and your comments. They are fantastic and out-of-this-world, but do keep in mind that if you really want to put this case into production and make some big $$, you will have to get the big manufacturers to like this design. The way you talk about the case (as I've seen earlier "If you are not putting a dual loop inside this case, then this is not the case for you."), the big brands (Silverstone, Lian-Lis) will not take it. If you really want to put it into production, you will have to get the market as big as possible.
Do mind that there are not much watercooling enthusiasts in this world, 2000 people MAX around this world. And most of them will not have unlimited budgets for a case. There will be many people that will looking for a case that will have other potentials other than watercooling, such as being capable of being a server case (as Dreamaxx mentioned earlier) or air-cooling. Although it won't sound like the purpose of this case, but those will be the major market that the manufacturers will target for.
Also, for the price range. Try to keep the size as small as possible. I could see that the height and length are reasonable, but try to make your case anything less than 700mm in depth. Keep in mind that the bigger the case, the more the cost. The more the cost, the less market there is. You see, not much people will spend more than 300 dollars on a case. Let alone 500 dollars.
No offense, but they are all in my humble opinion:) I am really looking forward for the case to be mass-produced :D
Thought I'd post a couple of SketchUp animations so you can compare my case design with the SilverStone TJ07 and the Lian Li V2000....

Awesome comparison Mick:up: It seems GIGANTIC under the comparison:p:
I hope you read my comment:rolleyes:
you might want to turn anti aliasing on for both renders and in your nvidia control panel for sketch up.
