Personally, I think evil should have taken the same path iandh did and sold them to retailers instead of doing the heavy lifting of personal sales himself. I think he got totally put off by all the ppl that went gaga over the renders and said they would buy them if he made them, only to have many of those same ppl back out when they saw the actual price.:shakes:

I was just thinking about these the other day. back at the beginnning I really wanted some and pm'd evil but never got a response. I did not realize they would cost this much, what a bummer, still awesome clamps though.

I wish the best for Evil, hope he gets it all figured out

I have to admit that I would like to get a handfull, but in the end I would have to spend the money on something that would improve performance of my loop more than the looks of it. I still think they are fantastic looking though. ^_^

i tried to buy some back when posts of the actual product were put up but he never got back to me : /

Considering I tried multiple times in emailing him and asking on this thread multiple times and never got a reply from him, In my opinion yeah he never had them to sell.

I love the evil clamps but there is no way i'd pay $6.50 per clamp....

They are pretty, however they cost the same as compression fittings, so that what lost my interest.
However I may have the means to make a ton of these (similar) for cheaper..

Lamptron are releasing some clamps that are very close in design to the evil clamps (make of that what you will). They are still going to be stupid expensive.

Have 5000 made in china , should be cheap

yeah I saw their release
close... but, they are far too "bulky" looking imo...

I have two complaints against those ones... I know its hard but to do but I don't like that the screws aren't recessed...but it would be fine if it wasn't........ its just the ridges around the band I am not a fan of... I'd rather see a flat surface... hopefully they may release a different version as they have the means to produce/supply...
