There are no 2GB D9 GMH/GKX modules. A D9 IC is 64MB, and you can fit 16 of them on a module, such that 16 x 64MB = 1024MB, giving the maximum size of 1GB per module.

I guess this is sort of related, i do have d9s:) do i have to pass prime 95 or orthos to be considered stable ? i can pass super pi 32m but no matter what i do , i cannot pass prime 95 like 10 mins in it fails everytime ? its driving me nuts:shrug:
Well yes, you should be able to do anything on your computer without errors. I'm not going into the 'whats the definition of stable' explanation as everyone differs on this issue.
Gat some OCZ Flex 9200 (gmh) and euh seam to by litlle pushy : don't want any voltage higher than 2,2v, is that norrmal ?
They just refuses to boot than ! Even @533 ain't stable ! Best I've found on 680i is @450 4/4/4/12/16 1T for 2,2v (8x450)
but the rig gat some issues on game (freezes, not realy at bench ;))
And at all the Expert mod of SLI tuning doesn't work (no reeboot) like wit tha crucials which are pretty well responding
Do someone have any feedback bout this kit of 2x1gb ? (or may be my old bios 1205 isn't compatible...? )
dudes i just got my 4GB of microns. One Question: since the microns need a high voltage of 2,3 - 2,35 i wondering if the dram ref values and the Northbridge Ram ref value stay a 0.9v or do i have to up them also?
I'm using a Gigabyte P45 UD3P

It looks like Team Xtreem D9-based stuff is still readily available in Asia
OCZ is using Powerchips on these Modules now, so if you bought them as "new" at a retailer shop the chance to have PSC oder Promos is very very high.
The results would fit there, too.
@Don Dan
He said "got my 4GB of Micron" - i think he means 4x1GB ;) .
Or he got a Mushkin 4GB HP2-6400 / 4GB XP2-6400 / 4GB XP2-8500 Kit of the very first revisions with D9GSV.
I made some nice pics and i'm just testing the ram i will post something really nice later. so far in direct compare to the infineon chips used on the OCZ 9200 the microns always perform better with the same settings. But atm i can't clock them as high as i want to. More later...
Some preliminary results with my new Ballistix Tracer 8500 16FD3 kit. VDIMM was set to 2.02V in the BIOS :up:
Hey Shiranui - Have you beena able to vefiy what chips your new Ballistixs are running? I just recently got back into DDR2 so I've been away for some time. However I've read in a few different places that the new Ballistix are not running D9's anymore, any truth to this that you know of? Given your 600Mhz run with only 1.96v I doubt it? Thanks for any help you can give!
Mine are old style double-sided Ballistix, 100% D9. The real voltage is probably more like 2.05V rather than 1.96 as Smart Guardian underreports VDIMM.
I'm still testing my rams. First i couldn't get them stable above 600 MHz now im runnig them @ 630 MHz with a tight tRD of 6 and i think i still got room for more.
I love Microns. Next week i definatly going to buy another cs kit with the D9GKX or how they are called. Both my sets now have D9GMH underneath. The CS by default and i looked under the Mushkin Heatspreader myself cuz i removed it for my own cooling solution.
And yeah i noticed Microns really get a lot hotter than Infineon Chips. I have a temp sensor on the pcb between to chips and w/o cooling they reach 50 degrees easily. With decent cooling they only get to 29 degrees which i think i can lower even more after my testing when i put the ram under water.
couldn't resist longer. This was the last kit available in any online shop here in Germany so i better got it before any of you suckas did:
2048MB-KIT Cellshock PC8000/1000,CL 4
Nr. 20SK58 52,00 € 1 52,00 €
GKX are on the way. Already paid and i'm sure there here on tuesday. This means i have now 6GB of Microns which i purchased within' 3 days. If anyone wants 2 GB's i think i'm willing to get rid of one the 2GB kits of D9GMH.
Are the Flex II series 4gb 9200 Micron D9's? and if so, would you consider them over the NEW crosshair dominators? (4gb set, 2x2gb).
YAY I just found out my Corsair Dominator PC2-9136's are D9's :D
This is what I had them doing before (before I knew they were D9's - yeah i know CL6 sucks). Thats 2.36v (windows). I didn't want to push it further cause i read somewhere that non D9's die easy
from overvolting.

Also I don't have to worry about the temps - 133CFM Scythe Ultra Kaze :D:p:.
Later today i'll try for better timming.
Here are a pair of my Crucial Ballistix PC2-8000 "16FD3" Im using 2.15 volts

Elektrosadist whats that program showing your ram temp? I want one.
i removed the HS from the mushkin rams and replaced it with Flex WC HS that i painted black. And i put a temp sensor on the rams pcb between two chips. So give or take 3 degrees on the temp for the chips but i would say it's quite accurate.
Thx i'll give it ago when I get some Cellshock ram - dam I thought i could download it :(
It looks like this thermal monitoring system

I just did some more ram overclocking
I got 1333MHz @ 5-5-4-15

That was with 2.56v.
