smth. you guys were really waiting for (exept finishing the cascade :P ), the evap (rather : the chapter saying: how to make a evap with a dremel).

I've done the dremel on the copper block thingy.. man, it sucks !
I'm trying a new process.... putting the 1/4" thick copper blocks (that I will sandwich) into the drill press, and drilling holes that are offset from each other in the faces that will be sandwiched. It appears that this accomplishes a good evap internal volume, and the "cones of created by the drill bit (around a 7/16" diameter) creates a very large internal surface area. I guess mathematically, you could figure out the surface area.

Hmm i find it very nice to make such an evap as i do, its preety easy but right now i used up all of my 36 cutting discs and i cant finish the base :|

As you can see, this place is already a regular stop :)
Berkut: drill out as much as you can, then (eventually) use the Dremel to straighten things out. You won't regret it.
Use the drill bits with a sharp point in the middle, and a flat start of the cutting area. These drill copper better than 'regular' HSS drills with a larger angle for the drill start.
Also, get rid of the drill debris as soon as possible, it will lengthten the life of your drill bit a lot. Compressed air works fine for this.
Last but not least: cutting oil. If you don;t have it, synthetic 2-stroke motor oil works very good for me too. Or regular 10W40 :)
This evap isnt drilled, its cutted with cut off wheels, the cuts will form a pin type hsf:
today ill try to finish it (at least the base, dunno about the rest)

i need to make a 2nd one like that for my CPU + poarts to finish it and some more elements for the whole system :\

in a few days ill be making my evap, its going to be much more xtreme ;] ill be using thinner cutting wheels and i wont be machining fins but pins (1x1mm or smaller), and they wont be 5mm high but 7mm ;]
hmm, basicly its a single layer but beacause of few aspects of its construction it CAN be called multilayer, but only 1 is used for cooling, the rest is a system so all freon sits in close to the cpu..
If you think its your's than be happy ;] Actually i came up with that design a LONG time ago with bowman, Dabit and rest of the guys @ phase change

you wont see any big temp thermometer :\ These things cost over 500$ here (cheapest models that i found) so the only thing you will be able to see will be maybe a die's temp shot with a MAX controller...

Right now im rebuilding the heat exchanger for much lower temps, changing oil to poe (if i remember well its R22 compatabile), im ordering the flex hoses (finnaly, after few weeks of searching i found a shop where they sell stainless steel flex hoses), a friend of mine will make my evaps on a cnc, my 8l 150bar max container will be next week ;] So everything looks fine atm ;]
