f5 no difference for me, still capped @ 436 regardless of fsb/mch vbumps
I am a big trouble and I really need help.
I installed windows 3 times by now. So eveytime time I try this is over a fresh istall.
I cannot install the audio drivers. I install first the intell drivers that are said to be installed first and I have a sucess message upon intalation. I either reboot or not rebbot (tryed both)
Then I try to install the audio drivers. I used both from site and from CD. and everytime I get a message I have to install those genric drivers that I installed before and aborts the audion instalation.
I dont know what else I can do!
I'd sell the mb and pick up another one

Yeah, nice ram for a good price ;)Quote:

So is there a way of setting higher vdimm? I can't get above 2.1V to work (OCZ Fatso D9 air cooled)
2.2V works fine for me with F4. I didn't verify it with a DMM though.
Hmz, I have take the X700 out of the pci-e slot and boot without videocard. It says now 16x :)Quote:

Ultra PSU for $5 is really worth -$$$ because it's going to blow up. :D I sold a few of those working at a ma/pa shop and they were known to do bad things...
I've got some Corsair 6400CL4's in now. They boot at default and actually ran a little superpi too, lol!
highly doubt it , they're micron d9 chips and they're teamgroups with no heatspreaders, I even tried pushing 2.4 in them to make sure it isnt them. Even relaxed my timings to 5-5-5-15 , no diceee. D9s should be doing 1000+ without a hiccup at that many volts and relaxed timings.Quote:

Well today i went and got me a PCI VGA cheap card to try out with no luck at all !!!! same overclock than b4 with my 7600gtko, play with timming memory increase voltage decrease increase voltage on cpu up till 1.6 (crazy) no matter what i do it wont pass 368FSB stable , to be honest i dont know what could be eaither the CPU or DS3 , play with divide it and notin set it up at 2.00 play with timming notin, set it at 2.50 and notin , i spent so much time with this board (no funny) ME NO LIKE DS3 , ,but im also think thats probably my cpu limit not sure , those guys out there hitting 400 and up FSB are so lucky
Ive try everything on this FAQ and the most i can hit is 368FSB
E6600
DS3- F4 bios . best that worked for me
Corsair 2gig 6400C4
enermax 550w
Any suggestion guys?
I booted right up with no problems using this
http://www.legitreviews.com/article/332/
running 4-4-4-9 @ 960MHz right now
it's hard to find though, I got mine through Ewiz but it is no longer available there
on the frequequncy thing my best stable is in the 360's also, I booted at a little over 400 but it was not stable for 15 min with Orthos even with 1.55 volts, plus the temps even with the ware cooling were shooting up toward 60C. So I am running 360 x 9 @ 1.39
I soloved my slow-reading-DVD drive by upgrading my bios from f3 to f4. I personally believe that it is caused by the DMA. Somehow I cant enable DMA under f3. once I upgraded the bios to f4, the DMA was automaticlly enabled.
however, my computer still keeps crashing and blue screening with the f4. can someone here help me?
my pc:
core 2 e6300
glaxey 7900gt 256/256
apcer ddr2 1g 667*2
2 sagate hard disks linked as raid mode
Gigabyte needs to set the initial boot up to be at 2.0v or 2.1v for ram. Can't they set it to be different than the actual speed, like F1 BIOS was booting at 66Mhz FSB, then going to fullspeed? Just so us tweakers with fast ram that needs 2.0+v can freakin boot up properly.
I'm upgrading to some new sticks of ram later this week. I have other sticks which boot at default that I'm going to sell later, so I'm going to be scared to upgrade BIOS's later. B/c I might get stuck with a NO BOOT.
