Here my newbie setup.,but a bit sad the tube kinks..:(.,need to do some adjustments..
Guys, come on, I thought the rules were max 4 pics per case. Then you ask him for more pictures?
Try asking for a worklog maybe? Or post thumbnails instead of full size pics.
Btw Tantric, nothing against you. The pictures are stunning, and you followed the rules nicely.
Kay, I missed that, sorry.
I was amazed by Tantric's setup and level of detail. After all those years the old Stacker STC-T01 can still play in the big league.
yep! you got it right.Quote:

Those PA 120.3´s are more powerful than most people realize :p:.
Been working on this system way to long, but I'm finally starting to feel satisfied.

I know, the DVD drive need to be painted or fixed black asap. :)
And about the regular fitting on the heatkiller, I tryed 4 bitspower rotarys going from the cpu to the gpu but all of them leaked, apparently the can't take any pressure from any direction or they will leak.
This is what it looked like, but both fittings going from the cpu to gpu leaked from the rotary parts in that position. :\

a small update..is it ok guys?
So the top picture is the old configuration, and the bottom one the new configuration?
I like the bottom configuaration ;).
WeeMaan, is your gfx-card bent or am i just seeing things?
Here's my new watercooled rig. It's my second watercooled computer ever

Very nice setup WeeMaan, superclean. Only thing bugging me a bit is the optical drive. Not very often you sit and look at the computer from behind anyways so it dosent mather much. Great job!
@WeeMan - came out great. You did a very nice job with coordinating your sleeving - the two colors look good. I also like to see some copper - getting nickeled to death these days.
(A small favor - can you make that last pic a thumbnail - just to stay in the 4 image limit, since I'm always nagging everyone ;) )
@ezaleina - the bottom is much better! very nice.
I got so fed up with my laptop that I made my own "case" and whipped together a few parts I had laying around.
Filling her up.

The cooling is pretty extrernal, yes..
Nice job Weeman. Love the black and white combo. Nice and clean. Just the way I like them.
That is amazingly well done laine.
Thanks! As said, the optical drive will be fixed as soon as possible.
I'm thinking of painting it black, cut a piece of aluminium / acrylic or putting some black vinyl on the back and paint the "shell".
Thanks! :D
I thought about nickelplating the gpu and cpu but then it wouldn't match the mobocooling so would have to nickelplate that to.
Personally, I really like the look of bare copper the only problem is that it tends to osidize and get uglier.
But maybe I nickelplate cpu, gpu and MB when I get tired of the look (wich happens way to soon usually ), and also maybe change colorscheme (tubing, sleeving etc).
I'm also thinking of upgrading to another 120.2 in the bottom and EK multioption res sometime.
I'll make the last one a thumbnail when I come home this evening!
Laine,
How can you fix the GPU card?
Show photo details please..

whats with ppl posting more than 4 pictures.... I really think some people are inept
Where? I believe Shazza already fixed and warned most of the posters on the previous pages.
Very simple and beautiful Laine
@ Laine.
That's not just a PC. It's more like art. Like it alot.
I really like that Laine, good job.
My first shot at Watercooling. Starting small and intend to do more. Need to add more lighting, kinda dark on one side. The pic shows a 4870x2, just put in a 5870, so need to take new pics.

Very nice wiretap :yepp: I like how the colors came out. Now after looking at yours complete I wish I would have finished mine. ;)
@wiretap.....Might want to read the rules a little closer. 4 pics max! My math may be rusty but you have way more then 4 pics posted. Very nice build!
Sorry about that.. I'll fix the pictures and trim it down to 4. Thanks.

PS. Don't use cheap PVC tubing for $0.5 per meter. It gets "dirty" very quickly :(
Beautiful system - wiretap - thanks for fixin' your pics ;)
Love your cardboard case, pashtet - a bit of blue tubing would set it off nicely (although I like it as is).
The V351 is a beauty !
And that cardboard setup reminds somehow of another mini system which has the same kind of octogonal shape...
@ shazza
maybe i'll get some blue dye just to match the color scheme
wiretap, I was wondering what kind of temps you're getting with that magicool rad on the 920 :).
Temps are decent. Idle, I'm sitting at ~40C with ~55C core temps. Under full load I'm seeing ~55C with ~80C core temps. But it cools down quickly after a stress run. This is at 4GHz @ 1.35v. I haven't played with my overclock much, but I can probably back down on the voltage a bit to get slightly better temps. The i7 throws off quite a bit of heat. I had to use the Magicool radiator because it's slim to fit in the original place of the 120mm fans, and it allows the 5870 to fit in there depth-wise. Combined with the Noctua fans, it just has enough cooling capacity for my needs, but does run a bit on the warm side. Overall, I think it turned out ok. If I had just an inch more room in the front of the case, it would be perfect, but obviously Lian-Li never intended for this case to have water cooling shoved into it. :D
Well, you did an amazing job fitting it there :). I'm not sure how much room you have left, but the MCR220 is only 4mm thicker, and it performs a bit better than the Magicool slim:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/Forums/...d.php?t=220593
Also, you might want to look into Gentle Typhoons if you want silent performance, or Panaflos, San Aces or Deltas if you just want pure performance.
Thanks. The MCR220 *might* fit. With the bracket installed, there's not much room at all left. I didn't want to chance it when I ordered, lol. I thought about un-riveting everything and just making a whole custom interior, but I don't have a lot of the tools (or the time) to do that. I'm working and going to college full time and it leaves little room for play unfortunately.
when mine is finished I'll post pics of it.
so many good systems on here haha
Here's a few pics of mine, not completely finished yet :P
Trying to make a custom shroud for the cosmos, need it custom CNC'd and designed to include another 3 x 5.25 bays :P not gonna be cheap.

i7 940 @ 4 full load, Apogee XT, EK DCP 2.2, Koolance quad high flow rad, cooler master 120mm 90cmf fans on 5v) 42C, 26c ambient.
5870 stock, full load fans 5v, EK5870 block, EK DCP 2.2, swiftech 240mm rad 42C
The Coolermaster fans seems to be popular wit the RADS, are they that good ?
I dont know about other ppl but It keeps both and GPU at ~ 34C - 40C on idle and around ~50C on load for straight 5 hrs folding. CPU around ~40 C idle and 50-60CC on overclock @ 4.2 ;) on a single FeserOne triple fans Rad. :yepp:
This fans pull some decent air, cheap, quite and cool look LEDs too:up:

@-typhoon-
what's your CPU clock and idle/max temps?
They put out 89CFM at 23dB (their 90cfm 19dB claim isn't true, its 46cfm 19dB)
But yes, they are extremely quiet, i cannot hear them above my pump, which is an EK DCP 2.2 which is VERY quiet.
and most other fans i've compared them to don't even come close, or cost twice as much. you can pick them up for about 12-15 bucks.
Really beautifull setup jacek ;) Nice cable management aswell!
hi all.,off topic a bit.,i think no need to open new topic for these simple questions.,i wanna change my res for micro res to cylinder type res.,can i know what is the different or specials between iandh res and ek multioption res..tq..
nice uv!
Here is mine after some changes.New cpu waterblock, new 4890 vapor x white tops, new reservoir, new UN bracket.

Those orange coils wreck it all , its a great build but the coils in that give an awfull look .. sorry .
I have to agree with Raiden. Overall it's a very calm build with few colours and not too much tubing, however the orange makes it look way too full.
+1 Nice build, but would look nicer without the coils.
maybe he themed his build after KTM colour scheme :)
just needs to paint all that metal black now!

Hey all,
Long time lurker, first time poster. Finally have something worth while to show, I reckon. This thing has taken about two years of my life, due to lack of funds and other things, but i don't think it ever would of happened without a lot of info from this forum. So thanks :p: (the x48 was hot of the press when I bought it, and had been well and truly superseded before it was every powered on :ROTF: ) Anyway hope you like. You will see me around a bit I'd say, I have about a billion questions for everyone. (Not the best pics, I'm not too good with a cam)

Hey man, thanks for the kinds words. It's a Canon Ixus 70. Just a lil digi cam. It always seems to take nice pictures tho
np sage but why hide the beautiful liquid fusion behind the 24 pin wires?

Hey ... didn't say I was Magnum P.I. ... you talking abut the larger pics? Been on the netbook so they all look big to me ;) Also still seeing people quoting pics occasionally.
As a reminder -
Quote:
Four Simple Rules:
1) No larger than 1280 x 1024 pixel (but 1024 x 768 pixel is preferred),
2) The limit on the number of pictures is 4 per case (if you want to post more than 4 pictures, use thumbnails or post links without using the IMG tags),
3) Do not quote images,
4) Finished cases only, no worklogs.
Yeah I agree actually. I made my cut on the mobo tray a bit too small, and so had to go beside the mobo tray and around the res (had already painted the tray, so didn't wanna recut). But I think it may need another looking at, that res definitely needs to be shown off :yepp:
Sweet colors Jacek ! I love the color =)
