Allstarshop bump up the price of E6600 now to $439
Yea I got lucky, even got sat overnight delivery for it :)
I got my OEM E6600 from ClubIT earlier today. Got some DVD-R's, Intel Core 2 Duo t-shirt, and a copy of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. Someone earlier said they got a copy of GRAW. I would of rather had it!! What is everyone else getting from ClubIT in the game department?

Looks like Ewiz is the winner for future purchases. Thats where i got my Asus P5WDH from nearly 2 mos ago.
I preordered the E6600 retail from them in June, my order had been on-order since then as well. I do not believe Buy.com gives any meaningful indication of when their conroes will ship. Anyway, I cancelled my pre-order and bought it again at $340 because the price is lower and I frankly don't care when I get mine anymore. I've been waiting forever with my D805...I can wait a little longer and save myself from getting ripped-off by everyone else.Quote:

For those still looking for Asus P5W-DH Deluxe...
Antares Digital - Really nice people (Lili Greene) very up to date with email/phone calls. Called them up to see when my stuff will send... They said they already sent it, just a little late on giving me the tracking.
They just got a shipment in today so I dunno how many are left... If you think you'll be buying one from here, call them up on business hours before ordering (though they dont charge unless they have it). They're located at Edison, NJ... and 1-888-269-8868 is their toll free number. 9-5est M-F.

ajump.com has it cheap for free shipping

I called Antares yesterday and spoke to Lili as well, and she said they had a shipment coming in today and if i wanted in on the gravy train I had to order right away.

I got my retail E6600 from xPCGear on Wednesday. I ordered it on Tuesday with overnight shipping. Paid $461 total...$419.99 for the chip. I didn't want to pay that much, but I couldn't take the wait anymore and caved.

I would def reccomend them for other purhases as they had wonderful communication, freindly staff, and fast shipping.
I know the guys at allstar personally. If you ever have a problem with all star, speak to james directly. He's a VERY VERY stand up guy.
How is their return policy?
I hope we will see some serious drops in prices, and much better availability the comming week. There are indications that the E66 and E67 will become much more widely aailiable in several places around the 15'th, so lets hope thats true :)
-Stigma
Tankguys has no ETA on e6600 yet. They say al their suppliers have no ETA either. I guess I'll have to wait yet another week. Oh wait hi school.
:(
2 places I've found selling atm at really HIGH prices:
Pinnacle Micro
Priority Computer Parts
However, if we could wait just a couple of days more, we could get them at reasonable $350sih at pretty much all around US. and that's what I'm doing. patience... patience... /sigh
I'm so glad I already got my E6600 from ClubIT.com and can STOP watching this thread! :)
im so mad that i dont have money right now for this stuff
east coast> very good if it's a geniune problem. If it's a user mistake, they will work with you. They're great people.
Else, pm me and I'll go knock some sense into james.
Gotcha...I'll keep that in mind ;)Quote:

If its true. We have been told "next week" and a few more days a lot. Truth is the big distributers still don't have an reliable ETAs from Intel if at all.Quote:

This is just pathetic :slapass:
It's EXACTLY 7 days since launch and E6300 and E6400 are plentiful. E6700 and X6800 are also in the pipe. E6600 is coming in a few days. So 10 days after launch every model will be in every market in quantity... that's bad?Quote:

Well, it's sort of par for the course - disty ETA's are inaccurate a lot of the time (which is why we never gave any ETA info with these orders in the first place). Sometimes they say one day and the items show up 3 weeks early, sometimes 3 weeks late, it's usually a headache.Quote:

RELAX Guys, these things are going to be plentiful before the end of the week.
Intel is busy binning those chips as much as they can. They don't want a situation whereby lowly priced E6600 will continue to beat the Flagship X6800.
All X6800 owners will start having a guaranteed 3.6GHZ overclock at the least.
Be patient guys.
called eagle they are saying the 15th or 16th, but who realy knows? Also called outpost and they said their first shipment (which they were supposed to send out today) should arrive on the 18th (lets see if that happens) but they already have more preorders then they are expecting. At this point large scale availability this week would be amazing.
Im getting my 6600 tomorrow :)
Where tomorrow?
I already got mine and then put it up on eBay since i decided i would just be happy with the E6300 i already had, especially since my current motherboard (Abit AB9 Pro) is junk for overclocking with the current latest BIOS.
Its getting delivered tomorrow from Club IT. It was when they had the OEM in stock.Quote:

I am so sick of waiting.
Has ETA of newly launched processors always been this bad before? I mean I've never waited this long before on a processor, and it's driving me nuts. How was the situation with AMD X2 processors or the Intel Pentium D at their launches?
I was able to get an X2 the first month but a lot of people were still happy with single cores. People still preferred the single core FX for gaming. I doubt many people were excited about the Pentium D. The core2 chips have a level of excitement I've never seen before. There has not been a single performance boost matching or surpassing this in more than 10 years.Quote:

Ah well waiting a few more days won't hurt, esp if price may drop a little.
I'm learning slowly but surely. Cut me some slack I know a ton about PC's and hardware just not so much about OC'ing :woot:Quote:

I got so tired of it (jumper) OCing my 2.4c that I made a toggle switch just so I could hit it and be done. Best mod I ever did IMO. :)Quote:

It will be back up in price when it releases. That's how they get you to keep coming to your site.Quote:

It's the price you pay for living in a state where a large portion of the retailers are located.Quote:

i almost bought one with the foxconn today but i decided to wait for results with the foxconn

I don't even have a board or DDR2 for mine yet. I'm still trying to decide which board to get or just wait. SLI for me is a must as I'll have a Dell 24" LCD soon. I hear you can run modified drivers to acheive sli on the intel 975X chipset so I guess I'm gonna go with the ASUS P5W DH DELUXE or Intel Bad AXE. I've only paid over $200 for two boards since I've been building PC's. The ASUS A7M266-D & the K8V Slot A. I'm having trouble justifying that much $ for a board.

Haha, that's good stuff. It's nice how interactive these companies are becoming with enthusiasts.
Got my oem 6600 from club it, along with all the rest of my parts from newegg..Hopefully it will be built by the end of the day.
