I got my OEM E6600 from ClubIT earlier today. Got some DVD-R's, Intel Core 2 Duo t-shirt, and a copy of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. Someone earlier said they got a copy of GRAW. I would of rather had it!! What is everyone else getting from ClubIT in the game department?

Nah. Your good to go. I believe the only people that got the t-shirt and the game are the ones that purchased retail chips and ended up taking oem chips instead.

I preordered the E6600 retail from them in June, my order had been on-order since then as well. I do not believe Buy.com gives any meaningful indication of when their conroes will ship. Antares Digital - Really nice people (Lili Greene) very up to date with email/phone calls. Called them up to see when my stuff will send... They said they already sent it, just a little late on giving me the tracking.

They just got a shipment in today so I dunno how many are left... If you think you'll be buying one from here, call them up on business hours before ordering (though they dont charge unless they have it). They're located at Edison, NJ... and 1-888-269-8868 is their toll free number. 9-5est M-F.

I got my retail E6600 from xPCGear on Wednesday. I ordered it on Tuesday with overnight shipping. Paid $461 total...$419.99 for the chip. I didn't want to pay that much, but I couldn't take the wait anymore and caved.

Other then them bumping the Price (maybe a out of stock move, seen a few do it) They were great people, Ordered mine, didn't want to wait till monday and they normally don't do saturday deliveries (noone there to fix issues) but they did it for me cause I was so excited that they had one in stock, Paid 435.00 shipped but it's retail and it will be here by 1pm tomorrow :). I would def reccomend them for other purhases as they had wonderful communication, freindly staff, and fast shipping.

However, all places should have stock by Wednesday and you should be able to get it for $40 less if you can have patience.

It's EXACTLY 7 days since launch and E6300 and E6400 are plentiful. E6700 and X6800 are also in the pipe. E6600 is coming in a few days. So 10 days after launch every model will be in every market in quantity... that's bad?

Launch was on 7-27. August 8th was just one of the supposed days they were supposed to start shipping retail in quantity.

Well, it's sort of par for the course - disty ETA's are inaccurate a lot of the time (which is why we never gave any ETA info with these orders in the first place). Sometimes they say one day and the items show up 3 weeks early, sometimes 3 weeks late, it's usually a headache.

RELAX Guys, these things are going to be plentiful before the end of the week.

Intel is busy binning those chips as much as they can. They don't want a situation whereby lowly priced E6600 will continue to beat the Flagship X6800.

All X6800 owners will start having a guaranteed 3.6GHZ overclock at the least.

Also called outpost and they said their first shipment (which they were supposed to send out today) should arrive on the 18th (lets see if that happens) but they already have more preorders then they are expecting. At this point large scale availability this week would be amazing.

I was able to get an X2 the first month but a lot of people were still happy with single cores. People still preferred the single core FX for gaming. I doubt many people were excited about the Pentium D. The core2 chips have a level of excitement I've never seen before. There has not been a single performance boost matching or surpassing this in more than 10 years.

Some stuff you can't learn from reading. It can not be fully understood until you have had to reset the cmos jumper at least 50 times and possibly killed some hardware.

I got so tired of it (jumper) OCing my 2.4c that I made a toggle switch just so I could hit it and be done. Best mod I ever did IMO. :)

I have done that mod as well. It is actually worthwhile on some of the old boards. My celery 300 that I got to 550 was the perfect example. I only messed with that thing for about 2 months to finally get it stable. The new motherboards are much farther ahead then what it used to be like in the ol' days.

I don't even have a board or DDR2 for mine yet. I'm still trying to decide which board to get or just wait. SLI for me is a must as I'll have a Dell 24" LCD soon. I hear you can run modified drivers to acheive sli on the intel 975X chipset so I guess I'm gonna go with the ASUS P5W DH DELUXE or Intel Bad AXE. I've only paid over $200 for two boards since I've been building PC's. The ASUS A7M266-D & the K8V Slot A. I'm having trouble justifying that much $ for a board.
