yeah i just did some radial blur big enough to fit the firemen's bodies in.
i dont like it i may delete the post....
the city bought 2 houses on my block and are tearing one down, as you see in the picture, and are going to do a controlled burn on the other one on the 31st.
needless to say i will be getting some shots on the 31st. hopefully some good ones.
i was having alot of trouble last night with getting focused shots. and the metering mode was really effecting how it focused.
i actually need to send the camera and a couple of lenses in for calibration as it seems that my 50mm, 85mm and 30mm are all focusing completely f'd up.
here is another one

I agree, like the idea, but the blur in the foreground is just way to overpowering.
Focus is a :banana::banana::banana::banana:, often, which is why I like my 50D's micro adjust, I just can't be bothered to send everything in when I am able to do a fair adjust myself.
I wonder if Lestat is that much unlucky, or Canon just sux so much.
Having to adjust different lenses for different cameras is completely natural and necessary. And it's important to note that it's a dual sided problem, a given lens might focus perfectly on one Canon camera, but +5mm or -5mm on another. This is a very common and silly situation, I don't like it myself, but it's just how this stuff works.
This is why I think every canon camera should be delivered with a focus calibration paper stand and a the "micro adjust" feature. :)
See page 18.

no i should have NEVER sold my 40D,, never had one issue aside from the dead pixels and canon fixed that promptly... i still hate myself for selling her.
but.. i couldnt microadjust even if i wanted to. sometimes it focuses fine, other times it doesnt....
and live view contrast focusing is f**ed up too. which leads me to believe its the camera not the lenses.
i cant tell though.
i love the t2i she is still a monster i jsut need to figure out whats doing what and get canon to fix it.
this was never "common"
it only started in the last decade when all the camera/lens makers decided it was just easier to use the within tolerance excuse instead of making lenses that focus right and cameras that do too.
not to mention the fact that from my readings this is only prevalent on the newer cameras, the older Rebel and D lines never had the issue
i know i never had one screwed up focusing system in all my time until i got the 7D... bt i have read about the old 1D MIII giving big time issues.
other than that,,,
this again lends evidence that the over saturated over bloated and barely working focusing systems of these newer systems with extremely high focus points just doesnt work... ... the older ones with fewer focusing points worked fine.
even the 5D MKII uses the old style 40D and under focusing system (in a way) and it doesnt seem to have the issues that they newer higher AF point systems do.
when all else fails go back to your roots, the times when things just worked...
