Try more IOH voltage or possibly pci-e voltage see if that helps.

I require VT-D support on my EX58-UD5 board. I found a beta bios for the EX58-Extreme that gives VT-D support. It is Ex58-extreme f13t(gk). My ex58-ud5 currently has ex58-ud5 f12 on it. I have tried using SPIflash to flash to ex58-extreme f9 and f13t(gk). Both times I tried it would flash successfully and shut off. When I turn it back on it fails to boot, and reboots into the backup bios. It then erases the new bios I put on it using the f12 backup from the backup chip. What am I doing wrong here? I know they are the same god damn board and it should be working. My next board won't be a gigabyte thats for sure, first problems with LSI's controllers because gigabyte doesn't follow a standard and now missing VT-D support when the chipset supports it, and they are just too lazy to add the supported feature.
Try to flash this (modded BIOS ID string),either with FlashSPI or SPIFlash (or @BIOS if support):
Crossflash to Extreme BIOS:

Crossflash (go back) to UD5 BIOS:

If still need help. This is the version of SPIflash that I used along with a modded version of the bios with vt-d support

You have SPIFlash ver.1.20 dated 26.Feb 2008.
Here is SPIFlash ver.1.22 dated 14.May 2009.
Thats the version I tried to use but it would not allow to me use c:\spiflash ex58exgk.bin. The older version worked just fine. It did say that bios did not match but worked perfectly. I grabbed it from a older post from here.
Ahh,OK.
:)
Stasio, your bios flashed in SPIFLASH, but did not post. In qflash it said invalid bios image.
Acebmxr, your bios flashed in SPIFLASH, but also did not post. In qflash it said invalid bios ID.
Both of them still said mismatched bios ID in SPIFLASH. I thought by changing the ID you fix that?
Board is "GA-EX58-UD5" Rev 1.0, purchased on release day.
To flash your ex58-ud5 with the ex58-extreme bios all you need to do is make a bootable usb flash drive; copy the spiflash and extreme bios to the flash drive. Boot off the usb flash drive and run c:\spiflash ex58exgk.bin. Yes spiflash will complain about bios ID do not match just say ok.
Reboot renter bios load optimized defaults.
After bios is flashed to the Extreme bios you can use q-flash or @bios to flash any newere Extreme bios.
I did boot off USB and flash using SPIFLASH also tried 1.22 now. The flash works, and the computer shuts off. Once it starts back up it does not POST. It will then reboot off the backup bios and write over the new bios with the backup bios. I have tried clearing cmos before booting, unplugging power, etc... Nothing seems to work to get this to boot after flashing.
Have you tried to update the latest bios version for the ud5 first then try to crossflash to the extreme?
I have tried using F9a and F12 so far for UD5 bios.
Read page 174.
Did you try my mod and @BIOS?
Before flashing, set in the BIOS "Optimized Defaults"and Disable "GSATA" and "eSATA" option.
Do not flash with "Optimized Defaults".
Any luck???
