Yes, but with 1.35 i hope to take 4.3-4.4, i can put 1.4 or 1.5 with my watercooling .
In all ways, it's better than my Ex 8300 C0 (1.35v for 4.0ghz, 1.47v )>4560 mhz but no stable) .
I think the matter is my parameter on my P5Q ...
(sorry for my bad english ... french inside) .
anyone here with the P5Q Pro and the e8400 that can share their OC settings? I'm having trouble getting close to 4ghz :(
My ram is a bit older Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400, and I'm running it at 1:1 divider.
any help is appreciated.
Hey ssabripo.. Here are my settings.

This board is a tough nut to crack!!! A real Pain in the ass!!! But, it can be done.
My system is air cooled. I have an air-conditioned room. I believe it would be the best to shoot for 475 fsb
at 4275 mhz. Good luck, let me know how this comes out for you.

Mines still kickin', got some new 4850's for "her"..

4.6 with 1.48v :)
i think that my E8500 E0 is some kind of "special" 'cos i can put it to 4.4 ghz with normal voltages so is that true that its good individual
I'd say E0 stepping is just that good, I know a friend of mine that got an E8400 that clocks to 4.5GHz (500x9) with 1.4v.
thanks WZ! I will try your settings and see if I can crack 4ghz.
quick question: if I want to run it at 450fsb for more stability (since I really dont do gaming), do you recommend leaving the Vcore at AUTO or set it manually to something? if manual, what do you suggest?
I have a Scythe INF heatshink + fan
i envy u guys with that E0:(
Hey ssabripo I would set it to 1.425 in bios boot it then check actual voltage with cpuz. If you are in just under 1.4 you should be in great shape.
If you need to go higher on the voltage I will tell you I have to e8400's running at over 1.5 v for just under 9 months now.
Still you should get stable right around 1.4.
WZ
Im at around 1.32xx with load-line calibration enabled to get to 425x9 and it seems stable, but it needs 1.28 vterm. It passed 10 runs of linpack, I still need to do more tweeking and stress testing. Trying to get to a 450fsb is a struggle at any decent voltage. I was running 1.45 vcore in bios on my last board just to get the 425fsb stable that I'm at now.
I have another e8400 :)
Q826A398, vid 1.2125v, runs @ 4ghz @ 1.20 load, no problems whatsoever, no screen but I ran orthos for 2 hours without problems.
same stepping on forumdeluxx.de ran 4ghz @ 1.136v... really good stepping so it seems :)
Of course I'm gonna try lower volts ;)
step by step, i follow my way to my objective ( over 4.5ghz) .

the autor of OCCT (who is on my favorite forum => www.hardware.fr) knows that the Tjmax is bad for our E8x00 E0 .
We must to remove 5°c of all t°c given in occt .
