Either way, I doubt there will be any difference in OC between the two.

There was no 8170 in latest roadmaps. It takes them time and resources to release a new model, even if it is the Sam as others...Phenom II X4 had a lot left in it but with PD around the corner it would be a waste of their time.
my last roadmap is one month old and as you said Beep, but maybte Il be suprise in next???
Makes me wonder..
What are these for:
OR-B3 (0x600f13)
OR-C0 (0x600f20)
Most likely B3 will be skipped and moved to C0 directly.
AGESA_SUCCESS
:D
C0 could be ES of Vishera (piledriver core)
But what I remember, AMD always use new letter for new architecture (redesign)..
Phenom I B0-B3
Phenom II C revisions
Thuban E0 revision
Zambezi B revisions
Maybe only once in K8 era was it diferent
The revision (e.g OR-B2) simply stands for the development version of the core.
First two letters are the name of the core:
KM-xx = Komodo
KR-xx = Krishna
LN-xx = Llano
OR-xx = Orochi
ON-xx = Ontario
PH-xx = Pharaoh Hound
TN-xx = Trinity
WF-xx = Weatherford
Im confused now...
ZD-xx = Zambezi ES.... But "Orochi" is die, or ...? Zambezi is core
The Bulldozer Aftermath: Delving Even Deeper
Anandtech dig into the Bulldozer problems.
Tomshardware has early Trinity review up! AMD Trinity On The Desktop: A10, A8, And A6 Get Benchmarked!
15% faster than bulldozer at the same clocks.
Not bad at all! That certainly looks good. Zambezi's piledriver replacement is probably going to be even faster.
as fast as (or slightly better) than Llano at the same rated TDP looks excellent.
I may actually prefer this over Vishera for the iGPU for encoding purposes... and hopefully encoding apps supports OpenCL by that time.
