Thanks. Yea it was about 50mm. That log right in front of his feet is about 2-3 ft away from the glass. And the lens was about 2 inches from the glass. Wasn't sure if he'd walk that same path again or not so I didn't have time to put a short lens on my D300s. Which is why the shot was taken with the D5000 w/18-200. Typically only used for video :) Luckily the D5000 uses the same sensor as the D90 and D300s so I'm intimately familiar with it even though I almost never use the D5000 as a still camera.
Edit: Here's a crazy scenario from the same day....
Ever wonder what it's like to know your arms are about to be ripped off by a 400lb silverback? Ask this baby raccoon.

Eagle did you get an old 5d or is it the 5d mkII?
I am on my phone so i cant check exif
Lestat
According to EXIF Its "just" 5D. Funny thing is, that it has almost same LPH as 5DMKII .. its just movie-less and use NiMH batteries (which is why I didnt buy one). Yea and no LV, but it has pretty big viewfinder.. Very impressive camera still..
Final build of my 12C/24T SR-2 :D.
A double socket monster squeezed into one of the smallest ATX case :p:
