Could you tell me what the default 3D vCore is for the GPU of the GTX and GT, and what their 2D voltages are? Im assuming tht the 7900's work like their ATI equivalents when it comes to 2D and 3D clocks.
3D: 1.2v

2D: 1.2v
7900GTX:
3D: 1.4v (1.36v messured by Shamino)
thrtl: 1.4v
2D: 1.3v

doh, i didnt read all the thread, only the 'You're welcome' part from Alexio post, hehehe, my question was already answered :slap:
:p:
So next question is wht is the highest 3Dclock tht we have seen so far? And wht voltage is this at? How are people certain tht the problem is over current protection? Do the pcb's have the same amount of layers? Is the power controlling circruity the same for both cards (lol, anyone think it is maybe time i did some readin up, hehhehehe :))?
Maybe the GT cores really are just speed binned chips, i sure hope not ;)
Thx m8 for the welcome
I'm able to get 550x850 on my BFG OC 7900GT.
Will run some benchies tomorrow when my maze 4 and new mem arrive
So if i'm hearing this all straight - BIOS flashing isn't working right to raise volts, and hard mods get black screens past 1.3v on the core? Man that isn't looking good... i wanted some real volts, i'm watercooling the card.
has anyone seen that mavke rel'd a new nibitor?
i dont know how to work it.. do you edit the table first?

I was checking the ISL6568 datasheet and in my opinion the resistor must be removed but not replaced by another one. If none is in place (infinite resistor), the overcurrent protection will be disabled forever.Quote:

at least folks are willing to give an extra 0.07-0.1V a try
DesertShooter, will you perhaps try to remove that resistor and see if that helps? Has anyone removed that resistor yet?
Does anyone have a clean diagram of connecting to pin #3 and which exact resistor to de-solder.
no one know if the aquagrafx 6800/GT REv2 fits in 7900Gts????
Does all 7900GT cards have tha same memory chips? (I mean 1,4 ns modules)
For example - XFX 520/1500 and ASUS 450/1320 ?? (the second one have 1,4 ns samsung chips)
Post some pictures of your mem chips :D especially macro ones. :]
Very very nice work Desert. Impressive mem oc :cool:Quote:

Any1 can answer me? I'm asking beacuse i'm going to buy one of those 7900GT cards. Maybe leadtek, ASUS, or GB. I see that you got incredible mem clock in here with this XFX.
Please Desertclocker - post some pictures of the memory chips on that card :D

Yes we all have the same samsung 1.4ns chips;)
Then it's an amazing score for a 1,4 chips :]
god damn you all......... ;)
:]
*double post* sorry
