On the new ballistix Z503's I am getting 292x10 at 2.85v at 1-1 3-3-8-3-1T which seems working stable. I have to run SP32 to see if it will hold up and isn't just a fantasy. ;)

When will these be released?
They are out now at crucial.
here is a SP32 at 290 3-3-3-8-1T
Lowered multiplier to make sure that wasn't an issue.

Thanks, I just "optimized defaults" for the most part. Someone suggested tref 0780? I am so used to secondary timings for tccd that I'm not sure what to set for the micron 2 gigs. I have to start playing with timings. Any suggestions for micron chip A64 timings on the DFI?Quote:

They already did, and it ain't that great.
I picked up some patriot ram guys, will let ya know, since no one on here has any, hopefully they perform like the mushkin and NOT the ocz.
uhh, i got the patriot ram, and mines perfectly stable up to 241 3-3-3-5 2.7 v, then 242 gives 10000 errors, at any voltage.
I don't think chipset voltage will help you much, maybe that is just the max on the ram? Even when I had mine at 291 I still could load up XP OS without file corruptions etc, only when I stress tested did I have issues.Quote:

You'd lower your mem/fsb obviously but I lost 0 3dmarks05 and sandra I did lose about 200-300 bandwidth but I think the CPU speed more than makes up for it at least according to 3dmarks05, also remember the FSB was designed for 800 and at 250 we're pushing it to 1000 beyond that I don't know how stable it should or shouldn't be.
The mushkins are PC3200 right? I have a feeling they were designed more for latency than OC speed, I could be wrong but from my conversations with Crucial certain types of ICs could be much better at lower FSB speeds and tight timings and some others have loser timings but much better OC speeds at least in the 1GB module realm.
So Crucial/Micron still on top? Anyone have a working Crucial 10% coupon? :p:Quote:

If anyone knows the differences please post everything I find shows them to be identical
The L503 are the tracers with leds thats the only difference the Z503 are regular Ballistix
It's been suggested looking at the results that the L503 may be binned better than the non tracers Z503. But its hard to say with so few results posted.
thats what i was getting too man. its like cl3 doesn't apply to this ram, its locked, lol. i think i got 270 to fly but i'll check my notes. vdimm did nothing iirc and i tire of the tref dance quickly so i didn't make a lot of progress.Quote:

all in all though, i've been more than pleased with these sticks.
Can u dump more volts into them? I want to see at least 3.3 volts. I'm more interested in seeing what up to 3.5 does. That may affect my buying decision, I preordered them from fry's, $200, I can still cancel and just buy mushkin as the ocz's I was waiting for seem like a disapointment and I'm not paying 400 bucks for a set of crucial that run only 3 3 3, 400 bucks, they better friggen run at least 3 2 2. Also, u have no sig, I have no idea what u are running.Quote:

DB Updated.
primed it over night 2.5-3-2-8 with the lower volts. ran pi32m at 2.5-3-2-6 (27:12) but it doesn't really effect bandwith from what i saw.
i'll see if i can get 265ish 2.5-3-3-8 with 2.6 +.03 volts later.

best timings (a64/bios) that I have found to run 290 with the z503's in this a64 shot..
db updated. :D
Excellent results !Quote:
