@dc_519 as far as i know 0516 is a bad week! But you never know till you try....
this is the same exact stepping you have.. 0516 DPJW on the boxed coolerQuote:

good luck at 2.4GHz, I did it maybe you can ;)
mines a 0516 cpbw and i'm 2.8ghz stable on air.
As there are not to many 3200 in europe that i know, what steppings is floating around here ?
Many members dont list where they are from looking at post.
Getting of the first few 3200 that comes to Sweden.
New cpu and new board and new GFX, merry christmas (2nd time this year=)

Cant you afford to sell that one and buy a new one ?
I almost feel sorry for you and if i had money i would buy one for you, consider your a 3dmark01 freak =)

0516 is a bad week? It seems my 0516 needs more voltage to get where everyone elses chips are getting, but 2700 on air without a vmod doesn't seem "bad" to me. Maybe a voltage-hungry week though. It needs ~1.7v stable to get 2700.
my 3500+ venice 0516 week seems to be an avg. ocer. i can boot into winxp at 2850 with vcore at 1.55. i can run superpi at 1M, 8M, or 32M for stability and can burn in at 1.55. as soon as i go to 2900, i have to up the vcore to insane amount like 1.7 or more and it's still not 100% stable. it sucks to see 3200+ or 3000+ out-overclocking my 3500+ with lower vcore :(. i should be happy at 2850 and not risk killing the cpu :). btw, dfi sli-d with g.skill and an xp-120 heatsink. i might have to get a 120mm fan that pushes more airflow like 110cfm or something. this antec 120mm pro fan can only do 79cfm, but it's nice and quiet :).
is this good 3000+ lbble 0517dpmw ??????????????????????
[QUOTE=Minnyboy]Just got my sweaty little hands on a 3200+ today...
Codes are:
ADA3200DAA4BP
LBBLE 0518APFW
Still at work atm so haven't been able to test it out...
Minnyboy, have you managed to get your 0518APFW on your DFI yet? Interested to see how it OC's, I've got the same chip but don't have my mobo yet, I'll be sticking on a A8N-SLI-D. Post some results when you get them. Thanks.
Quattro.

How the f*ck did he do that?
(first post, but long time reader ;) )
shmaa nice OC :)
guys help me out^^
3000+ 0517 DPMW OR 3000+ CBBLE 0512 DPBW
in my opinion the cbble is better.
3000+ LBBLE 0516CPBW is at 2.698ghz... 100% prime stable... at 2.718ghz it will fail prime after about 13 hours... and it's been up at 2.73ghz for benches...
i thought maybe the venice was reaching the limits of the memory controller... but i dropped my multi down to 8 and can run 337htt with out any problems with stablity... so the memory controller is really good... it's just it maxs out on the mhz... Ohh yeah... im on water here...
might slap it on dry ice this weekend or next and see what i can coax outta it... if it doesn't suffer from a cold bug...
From what I've seen of the 17 weeks chips, and the 'M' batch I'd go for the first. But, the CBBLE 'B' batch have also done well, I'd be tempted to get both and find out which clocks best and sell the other, then you are practically garenteed a decent chip. That's what I'd do :gamer:Quote:

Been running Memtest for most of that time... It amazes me how much a good memory controller can help with RAM OCing...
I've never seen that high bandwidth using any of my earlier AMD64's...
Best i got with my PC3200 Gold & any of my Winchesters/CAA2C/NewCastles was 2686MB/s in Memtest at 220 1:1... I could not for the life of me get any higher than 220 1:1 stable with any of my previous CPU's...
No matter which bios I used it always errored out on me in Memtest as soon as I raised my HTT any higher than 220...
I've been able to get 240HTT 1:1 with the timings in my sig at less volts than before... Only problem I had was that although it was Memtest stable at 240HTT, I wasn't able to boot into Windows no matter what....
So I regretfully had to do a full reinstall @ 230HTT & then run some tests at 240 1:1... It passed with flying colors... Ran Prime95 for 15+ hours with an hour of 3DMark03 loop thrown in to boot & it came up good...
To some it might not seem that 240 1:1 is much but to me it's everything as I've been through 8 CPU's to get a "good" one...
Here's a screenie of 15 hours + of Prime95, pity I didn't save a screenie of 3DMark as well... I don't know what you guys would call stable but if this isn't stable, I don't know what is...
hmmm but everyone with a 3000+ CBBLE 0512 DPBW reached >2900 MHz!
so why should i take the 3000+ 0517 DPMW?? I mean 2700MHz @1.3 is AMAZIN but 2900 is better ;)
full steppings ?Quote:

Here's what happens when you mix some awesome silicon with a POS memory controller:

In short, he's running stock.
Just picked up a 3200+ 0517BPDW, can't wait to get home and test it out :)

Edit: looks like g.skill as well. forgot to scroll down the pic. :). mine is pc4400 and not pc4800
Thx, the cpu is a 3200+ LBBLE 0515APAW. As I said, this memory controller is crap compared to my fx55. I'm running on a pair of G.Skill FF's and have to raise timings in order to run at this speed. The other 0515APAW's I've seen here seem to do 2.7-2.8 with ease. My particular cpu, however, appears to be exceptional. It does 2.9G spi32m stable @ 1.55 on air and can complete a sub-29sec spi1m run on stock heatsink. If you don't need as much flexibilty in terms of mult, then a good bet seems to be the 0517 3000+'s. I actually may get rid of this cpu since it was meant only as a temp replacement for my fx55 being rma'd, but I'm still debating whether I wanna part with it and there's already a wait list :p: You're #3 :DQuote:
