i hit 260 htt with my 2 x 256 kingston bh-5s when i wasn't even able to get 250 stable on my 9nda3j even with 3.6 volts!!!
i've tested my VX up to 255 htt with 3.3 volts and they memtest fine...
at 260 errors show up within 3 loops of test #5.
i'll try to see if they'll do 270ish with 3.6 volts.. i doubt it though....
yeah 2x 512MB BH-5 booted into windows at 270mhz 2-2-2-6 at 3.6-3.7v but pifast failed hehe found out @260mhz ish max async latency of 7ns is fine but >260mhz max async latency of 8ns was needed to pass pifast @268mhz 2-2-2-6 at 3.7v heh

I think I'm getting close to the max of this particular caa2c 0504mpmw chip...
I reached the point where I had to considerably raise vcore in order to get
any kind of stable OC... I'm not finished testing yet but from these initial
tests I've posted I can echo what others have said in this thread... these
chips if you get a good one are pretty good for up to 2.6-2.7ghz at around
1.5-1.6 vcore. You might even be lucky and do close to 2.8ghz.. but beyond
that vcore needs a big bump which equals lots of heat from these chips... so
for air cooling users the ceiling may be between 2.6 and 2.7ghz if you're
lucky.... and for some people that's probably not good enough :(
It could be my ram or board as well since I'm still using BH-5 and pushing HTT
pretty high (need to get my g.skill working on this setup, my DFI hates it).
This morning I was able to do close to 3ghz but at quite a jump in vcore and
while able to complete pifast and superpi 1m, I couldn't make it through
superpi 8m.

yeah these CAA2C have nice mem controllers too . man i really want on air/water 2.9+ ghz but don't want to fork out for FX-55 :o

that's the exact same one i have... i never checked stock but mines prime stable at 2.76 and 1.53 volts

2600mhz 260x10 50c low speed fan on a XP120. 1.55v vcore. Its fairly warm in this room too. 78-82f.
Whats the best memory to get now 1Gb total 2x512?
Same here. My mobo overvolts, so leaving it at 'normal' results in 1.55v, it's pri me stable there. Setting it to 1.5v results in prime failing after a few hours.Quote:
