looking forward to reading this article. and let me thank you for spending your time doing this...
You mean you haven't met your fanclub that brings you up in every 3dmark thread and countless others?:hehe:Quote:

I know what the other guy was talking about so I'm just agreeing without bringing specific examples that might be looked at as pointing fingers.
Your OC skills are probably second to none. It's probably just some of the younger guys might think you are a God of sorts. I just know that most of you guys are probably more humble than that. Just think if XS gets huge you'll have to start worrying about papparazzi. Take your pic down quick!
No disrespect. Thanks for making our PCs look slow though and pushing the hobby forward. Again, I just know you guys are more humble than that and while they thought they were praising you guys would probably want to do one of these
:sofa:
So c'mon guys. We'll break our own personal records learning along the way.
.:toast:
Opps record speaks for itself....impressive to say the least.;)
:toast: to that
Yeah sorry didnt mean to be offensive or anything. Having a reputation means a lot especially to guys like asetek and nventiv. And I bet you love getting their units for free/ ah ead of us all.
Well a few guys here have already placed an order on the LS so that will keep us all busy until bowman starts the review. Who knows maybe I might have to pick one up to be a part of the action -- hardly as intresting as the new cpus/mbs we will be getting this year but still intresting :toast:
Bowmann,
Can I ask that you also test the following :-
1) How easy it is with both units to get a perfect fit
2) If it is easy not to get a perfect fit, but the system still works, how badly the temps suffer.
ie if you attached 5 times how your temps vary on the same system and then try and match it up to how easy it was to fit.
You might wish to state a good technique in the review as well to try and get that perfect fit, this will be useful for us virgins who may buy our first unit in the future.
Regards
Andy
Ill second that request. Being new to phased systems my Mach 1 was a experience onto itself installing it. Some of the guides before I bought my system where MUCH more usefull than the manual and thanks to the forums and some of the more experienced crowd I managed to find mine, install it and tweak.
5 installs later, and the addition of 2 lockwashers per bolt, I finally got the block to make what I believe to be the best connection I could get it. Of course even with the pull it off and ensure there is artic silver on the cpu trick you still can not really tell whats going on once the bolts are tightened :)
Nventiv“s answer @ cebit: http://nventiv.com/index.php?pageid=102
Woah, -60C, now if that beasty can maintain that temp then its packing some serious firepower.
Now of course with a title like GT it may command some serious pricing also lol
well as much as i would like to...
i am doing a cooling proformance test, and i wont be doing much mounting on a mother boards.my testing will be done with thermal load dies mostly..
the testing alone that i will be doing will take me at least a week to do.proberly 2.each test has to run for a couple of hours alone..and each unit will have proberly 10 tests run.
if i can i will see if i can do a guide.but i just dont want you guys to think if i dont i forgot.
this will be the first test ever done on the 2 big cooling companys one to one and under excating tests..
Xtreme Systems will have the only review of this kind ever done on a web site .and i am proud to be doing it.but it will be a very time consuming test.
like i said i will see how my time goes and i will if time permiting do a install guide.
The results will be fine bowman, if product X clearly kicks product Y's butt then the makers of Y can go back and redesign while makers of X can grab the sales lol
editied for too many x's and y's while pretending to work

5ghz, now of course they are not playing ut2004 or running a testing program but still thats smoking
Hmm, I hope the prices will drop now when there is competition.
Kickass score btw with the GT
Cant wait to have a ST/LS or GT :)
:slobber:
anyone got an opinion on which BRAND id better built vapo/nventiv? like d u guys notice people having more breakdowns w/one vs the other from past experiences? i know nventiv is iso certified but what about realworld issues?
Thats not nVentiv:D, thats are very own JC :toast:Quote:

After I wrote my request I did realise it was like my managers at work writing a one sentence line that took 4 days to actually complete ! :)Quote:

You can see waht we are getting at though I guess, you will do your tests and it will be perfect, but when we come along the f**k up fairy makes an appearance and therefore the mounting system has to "accomodate" this :)
Nice work by JC in Germany it seems :toast:

Andy
congrats JC :toast: of course they had to send JC I mean hes the only nventiv guy who is actually able to achieve that. The rest of the employees would be stuck at 4.5 tops I betQuote:

btw what cpu is that? any details at all would be nice
bowman whart are your first impressions of the mach2 gt un it? imho im not really impressed. nventiv seems to be using their same marketing schemes and advertising -60C. no one cares at what temp their refrigerant evaporates at. the cpu temp will be much much higer. imho the vapochill ls will give colder temps by looking at the charts so far plus at the evap designs.
looking foward to your review bowman
also bowman i have a request for you can you add a r404/507 modded mach1/mach2 to the review to give a comparison for the guys that already own a modded mk1/mk2 to see if it is worth making the upgrade. thanks :toast: :toast:
So what's new with the MachII GT?, different gas same system?
well if the GT is just that a nf9fx compressor charged with r404/r507 there should be no differences at all between the two really..
Thats like comparing an old vapochill SE with the r404 mod the day the vapoXE was first released what could you expect to gain there overall??
If the mach GT uses the nf10fx lbt compressor you will see performance on par with the mach II r404 with a higher load compacity.
Still its like tring to compare a Lexus to a Toyota you know both are built on the same basics, but the Lexus's 4-6 cylinder engine will "ALWAYS" be tuned better over the toyotas or they will use just the right parts to push the limits over the toyota the underdog or lower end unit..
toyota=vapochill
lexus=mach II
well, personally, i could care less about the looks, i want performance at the cheapest price. i sure would like to find a buyer of my Vapo PE. ;)
yeah exactly the same besides refrigerant i have not looked inside unit so i cant really tell if its same compressor. well if its same compressor with different coolant then this will be exactly like a r404a modded mach2 because it IS a r404a modded mach2. should be the same as a LS unless the LS's evap will do a better job keeping temps under load.Quote:

well everything we have now looks the same and is the same lol. no one actually made an improvement. ever since the mach1 came out we had everything the same besides the chip controller. i doubt anyone really needs a GT if they already have a mk2. just do a gas exchange. only difference right now is pretty much the evap. the compressor& condenser in the ls & mk2 are not exactly the same but there is a small difference between them. same temps, same 100% compatiblity, same looks, same lcd...its all the same...how BORING is that? :stick:
They need GPU units damnit!
