some screens using all the power on my GTX580 SLI @ 900/4400, BF3 maxed out using 75% each card

Well, I meant that overclockersclub.com review says that "the (580) DirectCU II does not have the hardware and software current limitations imposed on the reference design", but a "series of fuses used as a means to fully protect the core from over current situations"...
When does OVP/OCP kick in on a reference card? Anyone running hard modded at 1.2-1.3v for awhile and could comment?
i tested my cuII for a bench running @ 1,29v cooled with water and temp was not over 45° ;) . card is still alive and had no problems @all, but for 24/7 i would not recommend this voltage, but btw i saw that ekwb had a full cover for this card
Here two of my three GTX580's

1110MHz under water!!!
The third can do that too, but my PSU (Enermax MaxRvo 1500) is too shabby for that. Need immediately one more PSU!
asua GTX580 DirectCU II @ 1GHz \2400 memory\1.188v .

congrats on the results guys amazing cards
do you think that puting mines with full cover blocks will improve OC ? currently they do max 981/4600 at 1,175 more will crash on 3DM11 but on 3DM06 i can go 991 on air reference EVGA GTX580's vid 1.0
cheers !

I have flashed my BIOS with overclocked speeds and altered the max allowable voltage which both work fine, however I'm having trouble flashing a specific voltage to my card. If I change the P15 state (field 1) voltage to a value other than stock when I boot into windows it will just reflect the stock VID, but if I also change field 0 to the same voltage it will again detect only stock VID on boot but when I hit 'reset' in MSI afterburner, it sets the voltage that I set in BIOS + 0.0125v, so for example I set 1.1505 for fields 1 and 2 and flash, then in windows it detects as 1.088v (stock) under load, then I hit 'reset' in MSI AB and it sets to 1.163v.
Anyone know how to flash a specific P15 state voltage to the card so it detects it on boot switches to it in 3D without the use of any OC software?
EDIT- DW I figured it out.
920c|1840s|2300m @ 1.11v load (DMM) done through BIOS. Might go a bit higher but I was figuring out the BIOS modding part of it first.

Thanks mate. Much cleaner solution that using overclocking software and setting voltage etc. I just like BIOS taking care of it all and it does very nicely.
:yepp:
H100 Mode .
Well, thanks, I reached 1Ghz with my DC II with 1,213 (I didn't effort any more); as I'm on air, is it better to manually raise fan speed, or auto is enough? GPU don't go over 65° with auto, but VRMs heatsink and backplate are a little hot. But fan at 100% is sooooo annoying...
Are all direct cu ii so good ?
Short answer no. On air/water they are about as good as any reference card and your chances of getting a gem are no better or worse from what ive seen. They perform better than most on subzero as the beefed up VRM comes into play.
Having some issues with my 3dmark11 bench, looking at other people's on hwbot they are scoring considerably higher for a similar spec'd system.
for example
this guy is scoring 22111 with a considerably lower overclock than mine, what i did notice though was his pixel fillrate was considerably higher than mine.
any input would be most appreciated
