NapalmV5 would you mind checking the height from the top pcb edge to the top of waterblock please. Thank you.

Just measured mine for you. Looks to be 24mm. Bits power compressions won't fit on the top barbs without thread extenders. I just ended up using a normal barb on mine.
@ Aramageddon
I also settled on 925 myself, 950 is benchable but just. Haven't had any issues at 925 1.38 so far. I do wish there was a way to monitor VRAM temps on these though not that I'm doubting my mount :p:
Chickenfeed. Thanks a lot for the measurement.........;)
Hi everyone
Who can help me to test my modded 265.90 Driver .
I try to modify driver , support GTX580/570 .
win7/vista x64
I hope have somebody can help me .
Thank

long story short i had very poor water flow because of the parallel sli bridge the damn thing just traps air.. 2 cards running at 30C idle and 3rd card @ 80+C idle burning hot! thats how fooked up it got.. so in the afternoon went out and was able to find an 1800 gph water pump and with help of an eheim 1250 pump flow is proper finally.. parallel bridge was a really bad idea.. will be getting serial bridge asap hopefully by friday.. the other issue is the power supply the silvertstone st1500 is not adequate for overclocking these gpu monsters i will have to resort to 2x silverstone op1200.. see how that one goes
1st success on water cooling: 1.2v and only 32-33C @ 2x gpus 20-22C idle

Great system!!!
Forgot a 1 obviously :p:
The strange thing so far is out of everything I've ran ( and everything recent as far as I'm concerend ) WoW is the only game that doesn't play nice (random game crash / display driver crash ) but I don't know if its a driver issue or a clock issue, I sometimes encountered this on my 5870 as well. Crysis, Metro, AvP, JC2, BC2, GTA4, Borderlands, FC2, ME2, MoH, CoD, WiC.... all fine /facepalm WoW.
Nice looking setup Napalm. Hopefully you get those flow issues sorted.
My GTX580 will only do short benchs at 950 core with 1.138v, it's not stable.
:welcome:Well I am new to the forum and do not speak very good English, because I am Spanish, but here I explain my setup to see what you think, greeting:

And a bench in 3Dmark 11 with two GPUs to Ghz :

Hello,
Got my GTX 580 FTW HYDRO COPPER 2 installed last week.
Yes 2- 580's would be better on my custom liquid cooling!!
But one is enough for me. On stock settings the GTX 580 runs BC2 with all settings maxed 60fps ( smooth as butter) and a lovley temp of 30C.

Safe Voltages--- GXT 580 FTW Hydro Cooper 2 ??
Dont think I need to OC but its fun and it Liquid!!
So far my results but only a short stress test, next time i will try for a few hours!!
How far can i push this? !!

i find using solder with the soldering iron actually helps heat up any spot much more.....just apply a lot of solder at the spot you are trying to heat up and wait for 5-10 seconds, pull it off and put a fresh dab of it and Bob's ya uncle. I actually use that to pull off caps off dead boards and similar sort of stuff
the other thing you can do is just find a spot on the back of the core for vcore and behind one of the mem modules for vmem, it will be an easier spot to solder to imo
You used the EK parallel bridge?
Did you have any issues with parallel in general?
I'm making my own build now with parallel connections.
But if its going to make a mess, I will switch to serial.

Hey guys
What temperature you have on EK FC on LOAD?
Yesterday i installed a block and have 53-55 on LOAD (stock 42-45 ). GPU 960 and 1.150V@3DM11.
Coolest running card I've ever owned and overclocking makes no difference.
Specs in sig... single loop. GPU @ 850/2100 1.012v TX-4 on the chip and EK thermal pads on the rest.
http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/7...0octemp.th.jpg
I am very disappointed with the temperatures on the EK FC
Now the water is heated and temperature of the room is a little higher, i got very high IDLE/LOAD temp.
IDLE 40-42
LOAD 53+
GPU and voltage on stock.
WTF?
I think something is wrong. I installed FC two times
Those aren't horrendous temps or anything, assuming you aren't using super high rpm fans. It depends on your loop though. With a bigger rad, dedicated loop, better fans, pump or lower ambient the block will do better.
All that said those temps won't limit any overlocking efforts in any meaningful way. If the setup is substantially quieter than stock and with lower temps, what's to complain about, that is unless performance is your only air.
With my i7 in the loop with an xchanger 360, 3 1450 gentle typhoon and a mcp655 I'm getting load temps in the mid to high 40s with a max around 50. This is with the card at 1.138v 925/4400. My ambients vary by about 5-7c (18-25) and aren't that consistent.
Before 580 I had 2×460 on water (just GPU, not FC) and everything was ok.
I have 1× radiator + 3×120mm FAN, Laing DDC-Pump + TOP + Supreme HF + FC580 GTX - Nickel
Water circulation...
Reservoir --> VGA--> CPU--> radator--> reservoir
The following questions are not meant to be insulting... just double checking the mount procedure.
In mounting the fc block what t.i.m did you use ?
Did you use the ek thermal pads, cut to the proper size ?
Did you install the support bracket to the pcb with just the gasket under it and with the screws that ek provided.
Was there a full contact pattern on the t.i.m when you disassembled after the first mount ?
Are your cpu temps the same as before the 580 ?
Are you running just water or a premix ?
No problem ;)Quote:

Problem is that this is not my first water setup. But it's first temp. problem.
Yes and yes.Quote:

When i disassembled first time the contact was perfect.
CPU temperatures are about the same. Little higher.Quote:

I use water+antifreeze combination.
EVGA OC Scanner does not stress GTX 580's no matter what. You need to run really stressing programs like Heaven Benchmark, 3DMark11 at Extreme, GPU3 from Folding@Home, etc. Those overclocks you have at 1.1v doest not look right. You would need more voltage to get those clocks to run stable.
Anyone...?
MSI combustor or furmark does not stress GPU like vantage or 3DM11.
