All cores will do 19 on turbo BUT if you have an app that just needs one core will max up to 21x

I think, if you enable EIST then you will get 2x19, 2x20, 2x21. If you disable it, You'll get x19 on all cores, all the time.
Enabling EIST will make Cores to jump up and down (like crazy, LOL).
I guess that's a CPU-z bug. What does it show in W7 system Info (Control Panel --> system) ? It should be right there.
It will always show max Core-multi in BIOS. So that x18 in BIOS is OK.
But CPU-z (and E_LEET) should show the turbo-multi under load. Do you have the latest CPU-z? It may still be wrong tho, because these CPUs are still rare. In case, E-LEET would show wrong multi too, because it uses the same library (DLL-file).
I think somone lied to me when they sold me these E5649s. :p:
I was under the impression they didn't have Turbo Boost enabled on them. So I never thought about enabling EIST to get it until now.

Hey guys,
Where is the best place to buy the SR-2 now? Buy.com? Its not in stock on Amazon or Newegg as far as I can tell... :(
Edit:
Nevermind, found one from Provantage in stock + decent price and they shipped out same day! Can't wait. :)

Finally have both of my SR-2s running great and now are kicking out some serious PPD @ folding@home. ~280,000 combined. Only about 25x faster than a GTX460. http://smiliesftw.com/x/tongue.gif

Well I lied in my last post. My E5645's are being little :banana::banana::banana::banana:es. I am having serious issues getting it stable with any ram installed in CPU0's ram slots. However my E5649's are very impressive. 63% overclock, 205bclk, and still only using 1.35Vtt.

My X5690's still rocks and with 3x120GB OCZ Vertex2 in raid 0 they pulls of a decent score in PCMark Vantage to:p:

^^ That looks really good, but those 3x Vertex 2 are holding it back. It's time for 3x vertex 3 soon :D.
My SR-2 has been rending a big simulation @3.86GHz(203x19) 1.20v in tow weeks now. It just finished last night without a hick, but is going to start a new marathon soon.
Now I use my little 2600k compact build for all simulation development, and SR-2 is doing heavy duty simulations and renderings all day round :).
yeah, you are right, a good RAID-controller could make a big different :)
I've been developing all kind of simulation for industrial process for a good while now. Right now I'm experimenting with Reservoir Simulation, for calculating and visualizing oil-field exploration. It's not finished yet, but looks promising, soon we can squeeze more oil, hopefully.
Over a month from my last post and I still can't get my second SR-2 stable worth a :banana::banana::banana:. One day it will be 12 hours LinX stable. Next day it crashes after 2 minutes of folding@home.
Well my SR-2 runs well with MM's old X5690's at 4,3 GHz folding or WCG stable but these chips still kick ass even on water.:D
My first sub 2 sec Wprime 32M

Well, I just got my SR-2. However I've been fighting it all week. Turns out that one of the X5675's I'd gotten turned out to be an A0 revision, which wouldn't play well with my B1 revisions.
Fortunately, I got it from a friend, who was willing to take it back. It was a really nice CPU, just wasn't compatible.
Btw, when I tried searching for a technical drawing for the motherboard screw locations, I couldn't find one (other that a photo of a tray that someone sketched in the dimensions). So I drew one up. Would that be ok to post here?
Here is the drawing.
Going to pick up the printout of it in a few minutes.
Hope it helps somone.
here are mine temps :

Just got mine assembled last night, this is one bad ass board. :D

^^^ congrats on your system:up:
do we have any reccommended settings listed anywhere; I do not really feel like reading through all the pages.
I have been running stock for some time now; haven't had much time to oc this beast.
I am running 2x 5670 specials and 24gb ram using 2gb sticks; hopefully that will not hurt my oc much.
would like to get at least 4ghz out of these; they are B0's. Thanks for any help:up:
A newbie to this thread, but a long time PC idiot!
While assembling the last rig in my sig, I decided that I need more. I am ready to finish my R3E, but I need a challenge and a little more.
The last time I was truly happy with a system was when I had a dual Opty about four years back with a true server MB (Tyan).
I typically look for 12-16 months of top notch performance from my system and the last system was great until about two months back.
Sorry, I type too much!
My question or questions;
1. Should I bite the bullet and buy the SR?
2. Any drawbacks?
3. How long can I expect this system to truly perform?
4. Do you have a shrubbery?
Yes, the last question is to determine your age and mine!:D
