You can expect some more good quality pictures from me. I've ordered an Olympus E-420 from www.digicamshop.be. It seems to be a good deal for that camera. It should be here some time today. :D
I dont think you should be talking about how many systems one bottle fills because every system has different amount of water in it.
I'd rather try to check and tell how many drops you have in one bottle (approx.). That way you know that if you use 1 drop per litre and the bottle has 30 drops, it will do 30litres of water ^^
did i read that correct? 25 drops in 1ml? wow so 5ml has ~125 drops lol +/- 20 drops. that would be awesome. i can redo my loop 30 times before i have to think about reordering :D. this is if i use 3 drops max per 1000ml or 1L as recommended by you mlwood. Also since you say the uv pink is one of the brightest uv colors you have, 3 drops should be enough for my loop. (and 5 drops would be the absolute max for me). I knew that on average, water has about 20 drops per ml, but i did not know how thick the dye was compared to water. Thanks guys for clarifying this up for me.
one more question, just curious what is the wait time on the shipment from UK? it is usually like 2 weeks to get to west coast in the US right?
Lol
1) Shipment times vary from place to place. Normal between 7 to 10 days.
2) Ive seen ppl using 8 to 15 drops per system to get the colour they want.
3) You can get any ware from 5 to god know how many systems from a bottle.
4) Dont expect to get a colour and it to last for ever.
5) What coulour i like is diffrent to what colour you would like.
I presume you havent seen what UV clear blue can do. all I do say is my colours are just that there cheap, they work, they fun to play with. I have no fancy name to bump up my price and at £3.50 for 5 ml its a bargin.
That can be remedied :D
Xtreme and XP are so last decade.
7 is the new X so are Blade Runner references. Call em "Dye7" or "Nexus7 UV Power Dye" or something like that ?
More seriously. Your non-UV red one has less staining effects i suppose ? It's calling me with its little voice...
This is how it looks in total darkness with 2 UV cold cathode lights. A mix of 1 part UV Yellow/Green and 2 parts UV Green.

I'm having a hard time distinguishing the cables from the tubing xD.
Here are some pics of the Green and Green/Yellow mix. When I get a more permanent setup I will post more pics.

nice UV effect. anyway how much the price for the retail set of UV dye? :)
After my staining and temperature tests with 20 drops UV Yellow/Green and 10 drops UV Green, I'm going to change the mixture to 1 part UV Yellow/Green and 3 parts UV Green.
As you can see in the pictures, that where taken with my friends Canon 450D and not with my Olympus E-420, the colour with UV light from the dye isn't close enough to the colour of the UV active green fan. Maybe with 1 part UV Yellow/Green and 3 parts UV Green it's going to be closer to the colour of the UV active green fan.
All I need is a tripod to take more pictures in total darkness with my own Olympus E-420. :D
Hmm apart from my car decieded to brake diown wich is a bummer.
Been playing with the Colour tempriture slurry.
Its not to bad how ever it just doesnt realy suit water cooling to be honist. The colour change is Black , Red , Blue but the only problem being you only ever gonna see black and blue and the sensativity between them both is only a few c's So. Plus the stuff is bad for the enviroment wich bring into question would you realy what to go pouring this down the drain after a few months ... hmm nope.
I'll have a play another time with this but as for now another project on the back burner lol.
Allso a Little advise for you guys. Ppl seem to be spending stupid ammount of ££ deionased water. Erm why !!!!!
Goto a car shop you can pic up 25 ltrs for £7.50 lol ....
It's a shame that the thermochromatic isn't working.
I have a small suggestion: Would it be possible to get some kind of metal-like color? Because in some loops, I think it would look great!
Yeh the thermochromatic works sort of but for what its going to cost to produce and the effect your going to get is just not worth it. im going to look into it further but as of now ill wait.
I can get Good particals of metal down to 40 microns the only problem will be a suspecion fluid that will hold it. it may be to heavey for modern day pumps and this would put into question wether it will look good and the effect it will have over all. All considering wear and tear i think it would be a bad idear over all how ever there are other alternative's to this as well.
It gonna take alot of time and alot of work to get all my idears looked at and since i can realy only test every couple of days to start with then further testing after its passed the intal tests wich in my books is 8 months minmum.
hehe how ever im having fun mixing and play and seeing what we can get. I would like tyo see this glow in the dark fluild ive come up with come to light but alas again its going to be some time.
Hmm i just tested out the new batch you sent me. I put it in my vodka bottles that i have lit up with UV lights. I put in 4 drops of the new stuff and i gotta say its not soo bright. Im going out to a party tonight. Ima play around with it more once my parts come in for my new loop.
The 50/50 Mix need 1/2 to 1 mil per loop. So a 1 x 5ml bottle will do 5 loops easly.
And yes it is brighter than the other mixes ->
This is 1ml into a normal 2 x 120mm Rad with tubing and block and res.

Youll have to exuse my wired tubeing that some thing im playing with.
this is 50/50 Blue 2. Thats 50% UV blue and 50% Blue 2 dye
Day light pics.
1/2 ml to 1 ltr (about 7 drops) = 1 x 5ml bottle would fill 10+ systems.
(excuse the blue tubing in the front)
