My humble opinion: Let us all quit spamming this topic until the OPB or Coolaler return with explanation. It was said this was to be an open letter.

just a quick observation...
EVERY single week after a NASCAR race the race officials impound the winning car. They proceed to disassemble the car, measuring all important specifications and comparing to the rules and allowed dimensions. Noone is saying that Jeff Gordon was CHEATING, but his car is still checked. It's simply standard procedure.

And noone is saying that OPB/CA cheated, but let's just say their car passed everyone on the same straightaway like they were standing still...

The data processing (overclocking) is a passion, it is absolutely not my Job and I find poor to cheat has interests personal :mad:

Which interest to protect OPB since more 1 year without us to help has that he says how he made? there are things which we dont know?

What one said to me it is very nice and it has excellent knowledge (what I believe without any doubt) but there are scores which aren't realizable and have require that it be explained or why he remakes it (camera by example benchs until its screen)

But I see that you prefer to make it leave to calm the people and will be able to return from here a few times without incidence ....

I am very disappointing of attitude of the staff of XS, so still this time, nothing dont do and that you close the eyes, I have any reason to return here. (a large mouth of less :p: )

Honestly, IF anyone thinks that OPB / Coolaler gains the seconds with just one tweak, you're very, very wrong. In order to run that fast, you have to know multiple tweaks that work together. (Some of you might want to check out 'the other forum', which is, to me, a lot more interesting than XS)

Before I saw that post you quoted: I honestly believed this was at least arguably legit. I suspected somehow he was suspending functions that aren't normally able to be suspended. But reading that, you know: F' him. I don't give a rats ass about Spi records. In fact I dont think I've ever ran Spi to actually get a good score (only to mod screenshots as a joke in fact). Anyone who's seen what I've had to say in the past month at the crap that's been going on where some pretty pathetic people have been trying to profit via underhanded methods in what used to be an amazing demonstration of skill and tenacity will be able to tell you that I've been nothing if not forgiving, even bordering on cynical about it. I've plainly stated that my only concern over it is how unfair it is to the legitimate players in a game I respect but shy away from. It sickens me seeing what people are doing to it. Even if he proves that he is the best tweaker in the world and he single handedly sets a new standard for pi benching, he has lost any respect I had for him due to his behavior in this circumstance. That goes double for the representatives of OCX here. Their personal attacks, rudeness, and self-important desire to be above question in what anyone with a head not firmly inserted in their own rectum can see are at present questionable results has done nothing for their arguement beside convincing me never to visit their forum. But I will answer the question as it is valid:
He's correct that I don't usually post outside the DC section as that is my main interest. I do post now and then in other sections if I feel the need to express an opinion and I do read most of the sections and learn from a great many of you guys.
I posted here because I saw what amounts to a which hunt and slander.
These questions should have been presented to these guys in PM's and if they chose to answer fine, if not, that is their choice. BUT to have this type of thread with the innuendo thats been written here is just wrong in my opinion. I repeat, if there is proof, post it, but without proof this is just slander and I don't know any of these people in question.
This is just a matter of principle to me.

Oh, yes, I do run super pi, not in any competitions but for a fast stability test on a new rig.
Best I've got is 15.562s on SP1M..Now thats at settings that will run at 100% load 24/7..
Not earthshattering but not too bad either and it's on a dual socket server board.:D

we need a bench (512K, 1M, 2M ...) description in the superpi validator.

the fact is that XS superPi checksum is poor
it has really poor security... who code it, need to learn lot more...

anyone can cheat this checksum!

problem is that people are taking this personally and they shouldn't as they are being legitimately questioned over results which are way out of ordinary. Posters have used other analogies >> car racing is a good one....champs are under scrutiny like everyone else and if there is foul play they get punished if not let's move on

I dont blame OPB for not wanting to deal with it, English isnt his native language, and he has already had to deal with it before.

Its time to start making solutions, like a more secure Pi, and not flaming results that cannot be proven to be fake.

Wouldnt the easiest solution, for all sides, be that opb and coolaler submit there tweaks to hwbot admin/moderators? This was suggested earlier, but lost amongst the flaming.

I'm sure everyone here would except their decision, if they didnt it would really make a mockery of the world records!

Here is two OPB scores viewed in this thread, lots of differences, and the last loop is strangely different compared to other, not the same on the 12.734s.
