Yeah it's done by some company, i read that evo, looked soooo nice, with the slits on the wings. Wasnt cheap though, gotta get a 575M and then pay the extra to have it modded. Worth it if you have the money though.Quote:

And about the price... well.... u just cant compare any american car with a ferrari :slap: I have driven all new Cadillacs and the new Vette's and they feel kinda cheap  and the 4gear automatic on the Vette is horrible.
Its like comparing the Mona Lisa with your mums paint splashes ;)
Ferrari v12's scream and the v8's do it even better.
But well i'm a fan of italian enginering, my favorite bikes are Ducati's.
Wtf am i doing... having a discussion with an American... all Americans thing America is the best (i know.. i have 3 uncles and an aunt in the USA)
Pro Drive if i'm not mistakenQuote:

Well, I think that my dreamcar might be:
BMW M5 w/ full blazing 10V 507hp, 0->100km/h @ 4.8secs
My wishlist also features:
Corvette Z06
Koenigsegg CCR
Ferrari F50
Porsche CarreraGT
What about the Exelero?

Hi :)
've been reading those threads......
Lot of you have taste.....
Pitty there is no Hybrid cars......
Dreamcars may be just four wheel rides for some......a a life accomplishment for others......
Think (like in CPU's thread (Dual and Quad Core CPU's)......we're gonna see some strange birds coming up...
It doesn't matter to see 300 hp on a hayabusa....(a woop of wind at 450 km/h......and there is noone left....:)
What's the purpose of a dreamcar (being seen...? / show some big bucks...? / come on...)
My idea of a dreamcar :
Hell say about 300 Hp (Both turbocharged+compressor...for Nm at low rpm and full-load at high rpm's....say 8500 max :)
Anyone remenber the Lancia delta S4 ??(old rally car....B category monsters...)
2500 cm3 (5 or 6 Cyl....)
Like it to be MaR (motor in the center / power output on rear wheels plus an aditionnal electric motors that would store energy while braking.(outstanding braking!)...on front wheels....each front wheel would have its own motor...)
Have seen some kind of weird suspensions set (brand was an Hi-Fi firm...based in the USA....)
Well, four suspensions separated one from another (designed each like an HP....the car can litterally jump over objects....)
say 3,50 m
950 Kg (800 Kg better/carbon chassis :)
5 seats....(don't forget to take your family with you....)
Of course, everyone agrees that electronic helps are for non-real drivers....
That's the way we se it in Europe.....
No just kidding....:)
Think electronic helps are mature now (not too intrusive...not too light...)
ABS is very good when it's rainning....
Traction control is not to be used....4WD is way better to drive....
Trajectory control is to be used for everyday use..... :D
And emergency braking help is NOT to be used in dynamic driving....can't place the car while processing active braking.....
Of course (Web access and video set for kids when travelling...)
Would also like a hudge open roof........Hell yeah... :slobber:
Bodywork.....if 4WD and Coupe could give birth to something aerodynamic...
(kind of light SUV......)
Best car : Edonis
http://www.edonis.it/
:toast:
The point of a dream car is to ...well... dream. It's cars we can't possibly afford (except the few lucky ones) and it's mostly a great design and a great sound (ferrari doesn't have to even put a radio, the sound of the engine is enough for me)
newbie user is really dreaming ^^
Open roof? 5 seats? There goes your low weight... UP it goes cuz of the re-enforcements you got to make ;)
That edonis car... last news was over 2 years ago so i guess its kind of a "never gona be released" thing ;) How about that for a dream car :p:
300hp for a car with a 2,5 litere turbo+compressor engine? What are those things doing? Sleeping? you can get 250 bhp from a 2,5 liter engine... why bother with the turbo and compressor which are expensive to keep?
S4 put out way more then 300bhp :toast: it had a 1.8 engine which boast a massive 480bhp @ 8400rpm. But dont forget... it was a "Killer-B"
Plus the edonis is ugly IMHO, it looks like they tried to hard to make it "cool"
I'd be happy with a Civic Type R
And no i'm not joking
Right...good point about availability of the Edonis......
But it's a dream.......
Definitly, 300hp out of a 2500 cm3 is a cute thing....
Of course, 'm not searching for high Horsepowers......(too much fuel to pay for...)
Say 300 hp and 450 Nm.....a little better.....??
450 Nm from 1500 rpm to 6000 rpm
300 Ch from 3500 to 7500 rpm
Max rpm's are 8000....
I would say everyday use.......for a everyday dream car....
Of course, re-enforcements....for five seats...:)
Say 120 kg more....from 800 kg it would be worth it.....
Be good point......lot to think about :toast:
Now THAT is an affordable dream car ;) And a nice one it is.Quote:

The actual is a pretty well-balanced car....200 hp/1200 Kgs/0 to 60 in less than 7 sec....:)
In Europe : 23000 € and in USA ??
The best way to mod it is to add a compressor....this car is a little short on Nm's at low rpm's.....
Say 150 Kgs less than the original....and you'd have a great set....
She must do about 9 liters gazoline per 100 Kms :)
Still, nice and beautiful.....Have seen one a black one on the motorway at more than 130 mph....gorgeous.....good brakes also....must be a pleasure to drive....
:)
How about 29000+ € in Holland.... (taxes)Quote:

It's a bit more expensive than the civic but i looks great, the interior is really nice, the motor is good (i haven't compared it to the civic so i don't know which is better). My dad owns a A4 and it's really comfy inside, it's nice to drive and it give you some punch when you needed (despite it's a diesel).
But the most comfortable car i've ever drive / been inside is a Mercedes S from 92 (or something like that), you really feel you have all the space you want, it's lookin frigging huge from the windshield. I've been in a new S and i couldn't find the same feeling.
I saw a zonda in real and the car is much nicer than on pics, but anyway it's the kind of car that makes you stop, but in the sense of wondering wtf is this? is that martian?
Next to it a ferrari f430 was parked and even though it looked amazing, it didn't had the same effect as the zonda
Can't find the words in english....
Actuel quattro in the A3 is based on the 4-Motion transmission from VW...:)
So, when the set detects a loss of attachment then only the rear wheels are linked with the front ones....
I think it's the way the engine was disposed into the motor compartment...
Also....be carefull about the weight aggravation of actual Audi Models...(execpt Aluminuim mainframe chassis and bodywork for A8 models...)
You're right about diesel.....VW group and TDI is a LoveStory....
You can outrank easily most of today's car.....(if you want to bypass 4 cars at the same time...not to do :slapass: ) :)
Say 350 Nm torque for the last 2.0 liters TDI version and 140 Hp.....great sound also....
Which model are you planning to Buy.....??
Think also about the gearbox.....CVT are DSG are great gearboxes.....
Don't know if they fit with diesel.......
Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)
DSG= the gearbox pre-charges next move (from 2nd to 3rd in no time..)
Forget about Multitronic......:(
Anyway...the sound of the A3 Quattro V6 (european model) is awesome.......
I was planning on getting a A3 2.0 FSI S-line (most interesting options), i'm a fan of regular gas (not diesel). However, even if i have enough money to buy it, i can't afford the insurance (almost a third of the car per year) since i've never been insured before (driving on my dad's insurance). Plus i don't know what if i'll still be working next year or doing an additional master.
I saw that i could get the A3 for around 500€ a month without gas and insurance, gas would be something like a 100€ but insurance would be 600 or 700€!!! I could get the 3.2 quattro for around the same price but without any options, i'd rather have a smaller motor but more confort.
Only 6m gearbox available.....otherwise it's Multitronic...:(
Great choice anyway.....30000€ Aouch....but no quattro for this price...!
What about alfa Romeo SportWagon Q4..? 30500€
Now there is a real Four wheel Drive car (all-time 4WD...Torsen Multi-differential)
Alfa's are only getting better with this jewel.....
And the 150 JTD is soft and smooth or wether punchy AND musical when it's time..... :p: (Diesel of course...everyday use.....better when bad wether...awesome with snow :)
Better spend a little less.....and buy an Collection Car (for driving enthousiats..Mini cooper.........gazoline rules that little devil......fun to drive...good way to learn High-speed basics...:)
Collection car......Cheap insurance......High pleasure....Old motor sound...Ha pleasure....(Why not an old Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2) (1984-1989) (from 12000€ to 25000€...)
Of course...you'd have plenty other collection car that would fit....
Anyone has ideas??
I'm only looking for now, since i won't buy a car until at least december.
I was thinking about a mini cooper S (170HP in this small car, great for cities)! But with options, i'm around 25k. The problem is not the price of the car in itself (with 30k i've already streched my budget) but the insurance!
I'll start looking the used car pages in the newspaper, i saw some interesting mercedes SL (hum ok not those pages).
People are posting SOOOO many nice pic's of great cars!!! Makes me think that in Europe you see something uber-cool at every petrol station...
C
Don't exagerate i'm only talking about the nice car i see not the crappy ones (and i swear there is a lot of them!)
