For some reason the second time I put the memory in the HP it works just fine. It can pretty much take any timing setting I throw at it running PC2-3200 speeds too ;) It even took 2-2-2-6.

As crazy as it may seem, I am still a little confused as to the 3-4-4-8 memory situation

1. On the TankGuys website, it says that they have 2x512MB DDR2-667 in stock. Is this a mistake ?
2. Does the 2x512MB kits have the same D9 chips as the 2x1G kits ?
3. Will there be 2x512MB 3-3-3-8 kits made or sent ?

Wow- I've been eyeing this thread like the ass of a hot chick! Very impressed, count me in on the fun when e6600's are available. Probably get the ram (TG) and the cpu from the same place if ya know what I mean.:hrhr:

everyone has been talking about the 1gb sticks, so if it says it's in stock, it probably is and yes they are the same chips, just single sided sticks on 512 vs double sided on 1gb and lastly I don't know

1 - as far as I know, the 2 x 512's are still around. We're just sold out of the 2 x 1 Gb versions. I'll check for sure though.

2 - Yes, they use the same chips.

3 - That I'm not sure about, I haven't heard from Team yet on that.

Finally, for those wondering, the new 3-3-3-8 kits should be available on the 28th or 29th. They are already listed on our site, and could be "pre-ordered" anytime :)

After seeing this thread last week , I could not resist and bought 2X1gb 3-4-4-8 from TankGuys. The thing unbelievable is that I ordered it last Thursday and got it this morining!!!1 The thing is that I live in Canada and I took normally like 10 working days to get stuff from USA! Really happy for the fast shipping TankGuys! :toast: Other thing, there was no duties?!? :confused:

The bad thing in this story is that I don't have a DDR-2 board to test it! I was really thinking that it would take time and by that time Conroe will show up....

Will post results later (really later!)

Some people get hit with taxes, some don't. I actually have no idea why that is :D

Today I ordered a 1G (512MB * 2 - 667MHz) 3-4-4-8 kit from TankGuys. Should be a good time once they get here, cant wait !!! :)

So has anyone gotten an early sample / testing for the 2x1GB 3-3-3-8 sticks?

What do you think the chances of those sticks doing 800MHz @ 3-3-3-8 on 2.15v?
