Its the side thing Lilis have for cooling the VGA...
My guess is that he moved it so we could see the whole setup...
Behave!

thanks thanks!! im modding the heck out of the case soon. im supposed to be getting my 12" x 48" sheet of aluminum, and a 24" x 24" sheet of acrylic. Actually, the UPS guy just rang the doorbell the moment i typed that period lol. Its a VoodooPC inspired case. And for the "roller coaster" thingy, i might actually go watercooling or something lol. and its not a BTX, its an inverted atx case. the BTX case actually takes btx mobos.. anyways,, time to start poping these rivets off :)
I will aways love the Bad Axe II

The all black and blue will go perfectly in my upcoming mod titled Bruiser.
Is this a stock DFI board? Do the black sinks come with it? What board is it? I cannot find it anywhere.
Tommy?? Can you help?
I think the picture has been modified with Photoshop ;)
Here he has the same picture in orange/black: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...postcount=1626
It worked out to be like this..
Stock Fan at 100% = Zalman at 60% ( Truly Dead Silent )
The performance of the new cooler is truly fantastic.
Even if I leave it on it's slowest setting (BIOS driven 60%) it is almost a full 10 Deg cooler. Under load (Company Of Heroes 45 min) it normally got as high as 72, recently it never went over 61 which is a big big difference.
huussi very beauty :bows:
@jimmsch
a blue-black DFi doesn't exists :D The pic is modified
Im in love with minebea now...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...5/P1020812.jpg
Nice choice.. One of those low-speeds is in the bottom HDD/PSU chamber of my P182, it's completely silent.
yea, uber sexy :yepp: I found the zalman fans http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=21978
hah yeah, this case cost a fortune. i am in love with it though :-)
it's far from quiet!

Seer nice setup... what fan is that one the cpu?
Most definately looks to be a Silverstone FM122 120x38mm :)
You can tell because its all white, and then if you look at the center you can see the blue from the Silverstone logo
http://www.modernopc.com/store/image.../fm122_LRG.jpg
ah, didnt know they did a 38mm variant.
fm121 (which i have) = 25mm
fm122 = 38mm?
Yes it's an FM122 =D 32mm though
780CFM ( 3 x F12-HHH @ 260CFM) here :)
http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/1...cepowerds0.jpg
I mean at any given noise level, it doesn't push as much air as most other fans on the market.
cool thanks
i love my Silverstone fans
MMPCtech also has the u joint rubber for making sure you dont get cut on those drilled out fan holes.
Looks like it needs a bit of dusting. Can we see a pic of the whole case? I really like how you took these photos though.
Slightly updated my rig :)
Installed the Zalman9700 CPU cooler and an OCZ XTC Memory cooler
Still need to sort out my cables, err yeah :p !

@HaGGaRd: Nice blue-green combo!:up: is that a CNPS9700 NT or Led?
These items reach me one by one from japan...the last one just reached me this morning...
Add ons for my soldam FC500 casing, to have better airflow and taking out the hot air faster.

After fixing all up...

The side intake fan is mounted on the side panel, which is not in the pic.
hmmm i'm beginning to take interest in those Soldam cases
My setup :D:D
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z.../P10501491.jpg
I got bored of constantly having to unplug stuf and mess around with a case so i went caseless! much easier to swap out hardware

http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2...1189pi2.th.jpg

I know, dust is my trouble in all systems. :(

Deepsilver I like the diamond plate =)
And your 4 Pin connector is unconnected to the motherboard.
much better, temps any lower?
nice scythe mini, deepsilver
what cooler is that?
Origin_Unknown
haha... +1 :D
mini ninja imho
well.. this one is REALLY ugly :)
Off go my 8800GTS...In came the 8800GT...

I want that card too :(
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/9...0960pm5.th.jpg
my rig, i got the big ninja
all my 120mm fans are on medium, my 200mm fan is on high. my CPU temps are 21C/33C at 2.85 Ghz
i am OCing it tonight and taking my time so i don't screw it up
This is the best I could do in my apartment, without power tools. Zalman and the two 120mm intake fans @ 6v, the red exhaust at 12v but it's a quiet fan. All in all whisper quiet setup in 2d, of course you clearly hear the gfx card in 3d mode. 48c while folding.

@ xcel: whats with all the foil in there man?! it freaks me out lol - if it were me, i'd be scared of it shorting something lol.. i see u use as sound insulation(?)
Xcel, that is some nice work. It is just so clean....
deepsilver, how well does your set up cool?
It's sound insulation material yes, 2cm of some kind of mineral wool. The shiny coating is actually non conductive and made of some sort of plastic, maybe it has an additional effect or is there to avoid direct skin contact to the mineral wool, I don't know. What I do know is it helps noticably in keeping the noise low and the insulation + rubber grommets under the HDs make them almost silent under operation.
Thanks, I could probably have made it even cleaner with power tools but I'm pretty satisfied with the current result :)
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...silber/wcg.jpg
Primetemperatures are only 2°C higher.
Nice temps. I do have a suggestion on how to help with your setup. If you are using all the fans you could cut a hole for a 120mm fan to replace the small fans in the front and lower your noise and keep your temps low.
That is considering you have room of course.
I don't mod my CS-601 in red, that is my baby. :D
trying to be more extreme
http://h1.ripway.com/Ar3s/IMG_0118s.JPG
@deepsilver nice cable management  what case is that?
