There are so many sick rigs here, it is a wonderful and inspiring thread. Here is my hoopty rig.

It is not fully done yet. Obviously I have to change the cpu block to accommodate the q6600 thermals, and might play around with some rad/fan configs. Also, I have to mod the upper hd cage in the 5.25" bays, and mod the bay covers. I have painted covers but will probably end up using LL perforated covers. Additionally, I might change the stock top exhaust grill to an AC Ryan or Aqua computer one.
I had 4 rigs, but now only have 1 and 2 Macs to streamline my setups since I can only give all my systems so much time each. But there is a need to build a second rig, and I am getting new ideas and amassing extra parts so it is high time that I start building. I'll post it when I am done. Hope you guys like it.

Thanks man. It is actually a paint job from Smooth Creations. I usually would think it would be blasphemous to paint brushed aluminum, but............

Quick question, do cold cathodes affect water temps inside a case ?
It would depend on how close to the tubing the cathode was and what sort of cathode we're talking about here, but even in a worst-case scenario the increase would be a fraction of a degree.Quote:
