So you think at 2.8 oc which is all I want I can let the memory down to 2.125 even if it is rated 2.2?
Ok, a little problem here. I set my memory at 1:1 and to get it up to 800 I went to a mult of 7 which at 400 gave me my 2.8 and also my 800. It says update success but when I go to reboot into os it gets to the windows sign for vista 64 and starts in a cycle of starting over. I upped the cpu voltage and the memory voltage but it still didn't like it. Any suggestions. I will keep on trying to see what is the culprit.
At overclocking Q6600: if voltage more than 1.5v, starting FPU-test (s&m1.9.1 for example) get pc switch-off. And the overheat is not present, falling of psu voltages too. There is an opinion, that in it are guilty only four phased PWM. On other mobos (asus, giga) with six-eight phases such problem is not present.
Somebody faced such problem? I am right? Did somebody pass the fpu-test on vcpu >=1.5v ?
my system crashed and my on-board raid went for the ride and seperated ... how do I get them re-aligned in raid ?
Is there anybody on here that would be willing to give me an idea of what my problem would be. I have tried all types of settings. I have raised everything up like everyone said. I have tried some and not others. I have tried all at once and swithced settings around. I had it set at one point but it faulted on me. I am only trying to go to 2.8 oc. Could someone just speculate as to what the problem could be. I have oc before with some asus boards and they were a piece of cake.
Would it more likely be my memory or my psu? Please help.
I just recently got a problem report from vista that one of my hardwares had a problem. I guess all I can do is just replace the memory first and then go to the psu and then the cpu and then another mobod. Hopefully it gets taken care of on the first try with the memory.

Also: i have strange problem with bios16beta04 flashing. All has made under the instruction (from floppy), but I have "Invalid Windows License" message. WTF?
Hello guys.
I have this problem now.
PC: IP35pro, BIOS 16.04 (beta), E2140, Kingston 1066 2x1GB......
404FSB is rock stable, but If I set 405FSB or more, PC does't run. I see only POST CODE number 26. Where is the problem?
Please, what is mean problem n.26:
If Early_Init_Onboard_generator is not defined Onboard clock generator initialization. Disable respective clock resource to empty PCI and DIMM slots.
2. Init onboard PWM
3. Init onboard H/W monitor devices
THX for your help.
Do I need to disable EIST and C1E?
I had to crank up the cpu to 1.37 to get it to start but in uguru, hardware monitor etc. it says the voltage is 1.21. Does anyone understand what is happening to my voltage?
I have disabled some things after finding some info that I missed.
I disabled C1E and EIST and now readings are stable.
My big concern if it even should be one is I had to set my cpu voltage over 1.38 to get it to restart. I am only doing an oc of 2.8 with my memory at 1:1 and a voltage of 2.2 right now but will take it down to 2.125 if possible.
What is the voltage I really should be able to get my cpu down to now that all is finally booted up after many hours. I should have raised this up first but that is way more than I have ever had to do it before. Also, the only way I have made this work is through the uguru software.
Is this telling me that my cpu is not of the best or what? PLEASE can someone respond to my questions. I really appreciate it. Thanks.

for OC'ing it is necessary to disable C1E&EIST. And it is better to measure a voltage by multimeter. Also u can use CPU-Z.
I am using cpu-z and it says 1.34 where uguru says 1.38..
What do you think with a 2.8 I can get this down to? Do you think 1.3 is feasible?
I set the cpu voltage to 1.3535 but now in both uguru and cpuz it shows fluctuating from 1.30-1.31. What is the reason for the difference from what I set it at?
as i know uGuru shows the voltage which is exposed in bios w/o any drops etc. CPU-Z shows more real voltage.Quote:

Which CPU u have?
even TM? :)Quote:
I have disable all cpu functions now...
My software uguru shows the same as cpuz. It is the bios that is different.
What is TM?
I must have some pretty bad vdroop if that is what they call it?
Do you know what I should be able to get my cpu voltage down to?????with a 2.8 oc?????
oh, not TM - TC! (themal control).

what cpu u r OCing?
Q6600
Does anyone knows what is the difference plugging single 4-pin power and 8-pin power for the IP35? Does it really help in overclocking? My setup doesn't involve a power hungry graphics card.
Now what is the best thing to test stability? for vista 64 bit????
