Did you even read my previous post? :(
My mobo won't boot from USB flash drives with bios 1901 and above when the USB config in the bios is set to "Auto", bios versions previous to 1901 where fine and booted flash drives without issue.

Hi, I need help
My configuration is:
E6600 / XP 120
P5WDH
Corsair XMS2 1066 2gb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145033
2x320gb Seagate sata 2
7900GT
Enermax 535w
The problem is with the memory or mother. I can't make 1000MHz 5 5 5 15 2T or more.
Have solution ?
Are there any new hardware revisions for this board after the 1.85V vMCH revision? :)
Tried 2004 beta last night ...
Still no options for sub-memory timings
Still doesn't like my XMS2 6400 memory. Supposed to have 4-4-4-12 timings but when I set the FSB to be 400Mhz and SPD disable with manual memory timings it won't boot.
BIOS flash upgrade util works fine, like 2001.
I see.. Wonder if it has any hardware enhancements for Kentsfield, etc. :eh: Intel XBX1 and XBX2 had some changes in traces, wonder if it's the same for the 1.03G vs. 1.04G on the P5W.
IIRC the newer 975X chipsets are more rectangular in shape (only seen where the factory/year/week code is 36**), whereas the older ones are square (I've seen L5**). If I'm not wrong the rectangular ones can clock better with lower vMCH? The 975XBX2 should be using the rectangular ones. Could anyone confirm this?

XBX1's chipset vs. the XBX2's chipset
I don't think so. 1T is the default. AFAIK only 680i mobos do 2T.
This post may coincide with what you're saying.
@nicepun:
Intel 965P/975X defaults to 2T Command Rate.
Hi all.
My mobo has behaved very nicely for almost 6 mnths now. Never experieced any issues with regard to RAM divider.
But suddenly the board has become unstable:
* sudden hangups (both during ingame and desktop/idle)
* RAM divider sets randomly at boot ( 266 / 333)
* Sometimes VERY hard to get to reboot (after a freeze)
In short, it looks like the board has gotten a mind of it's own lately..
Have a feeling this is a RAM related issue, but Memtest shows up nothing.
Maybe the droop-mod is starting to take it's toil:D
Any comments is higly appreciated.
Please, what is the best bios to use for overclocking ?
Answered many times before. There is no BEST BIOS for overclocking! Everyone's setup varies, personally I favour 1506, but that's not to say you will.Quote:

Bios 1602 was best overclocker for me.
I ve a question to the guys that claimed about the degrading performance problem.
What was your MCH and FSB (most important) voltages??
Is there a way to disable this Realtek HD Audio Manager with the onboard sound still working?
I see in control panel-software there are 2 Realtek programs installed, High Defenition audio driver package KB888111 and Realtek High Defenition Audio Driver.
Can i just uninstall one?
You could just manually delete the manager from program files or whatever and delete the entry from startup ;)

Have you read what Asus say about the -5v? http://support.asus.com/faq/faq.aspx...Language=en-us

I´m new here, but i´m reading yours for a long time. My P5W is a 1.04G rev, 1.85v MCH and BX2. I´m using 1901. Is fine for me. No problems yet. My config is 400x8 1:1 with 6400 L629A817 with 1.35 in bios and 1.55v MCH. Stable in orthos and OCCT. I´m using 4 sticks KVR ECC with Promos IC´s.
Cheers...
I've been reading here for a while and just now it bothered me so much i decided to create an account...
Here is my config:
Asus P5W-DH Rev 1.04 Bios 1804. Removed covers for North and Southbridge. AS5.
C2D E6600 @ 3.402mhz (378x9) - 1.4375v. Zalman 7000B CU - AS5
Corsair XMS2 DDR800 @ 756 4-4-4-12 1.8v
Asus Radeon X1950Pro
I feel that my vcore is imuch higher than everyone else's at the same clock. If i put it down even just a bit it can't get stable in Orthos... With 1.435 i've gotten 24h Orthos stable. My E6600 is a L632B which are supposed to be pretty good for low voltage OC.
All other voltages not mentioned are in auto but I doubt this is related to vmch because most 1.04G can get 400fsb easily and I've tried raising my vmch and it didn't help.
My voltages after vdroop are 1.416 ~ 1.392 for idle and load.
I just want to lower this vcore because my cooler is pretty old and it really limits my OC. Changing coolers now is out of question as I just went bankrupt a few weeks ago :P
Any help will be appreciated :)
