I so wish I could get my ram up to 2000 Mhz, but it starts failing around 1950 Mhz :(
These modules might be better:

I'll wait for an offer on them and upgrade and sell.

OK here is my situation. I have the Asus Rampage III Extreme motherboard with dual 480 gtx graphics cards. If I put either of the 2 cards into pcie slot 1, they will not get recognized, meaning my monitor will not get a picture and just cycles saying no input detected. If I try either of the cards in pcie slot 2, 3 or 4, they are recognized fine. Here is the kicker, I inserted a different pcie graphics (low end ATI) card into pcie slot 1 and it works fine.
The setup with the 480gtx graphics cards was working a few weeks ago, then I had a cpu waterblock issue and had to take everything apart to find what the cause of the overheating issue was. I replaced the cpu waterblock and put the waterblocks back onto my graphics cards, put it all back together and get the situation I described above. When I boot off the one graphics card, I only see the one 480 gtx in Device Manager. When it was working a few weeks ago, I did not have the molex connectors by the pcie slots connected.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Another problem - speedstep don't work.
No OC, all setting auto - don't work..
Bios 0095.
Anybody have same issue?
Hey guys, can anyone tell me if I need to have both EZ_Plug 1 AND 2 plugged in for SLI GTX-580s and a RevoDrive X2? Will it damage the board if I have them both plugged in or if I DO NOT have them both in?
I currently have both 4 pin molex's plugged in along with both 4 pin CPU and the 24 pin using an AX1200. I just want to be sure I won't damage the RevoDrive or the GTX580s by giving them either too much or too little power.
Speedstep works here but I keep it disabled because it kills IOPS on my 1880ix.
Reflash 1102 from dos...
Check settings..
Now SpeedStep works, even with OC...
Thx for answers..
guys...can someone please post up the latest BIOS template to fill in...Donmarkoni...pretty please?

I bench tested my new system today to make sure everything worked and everything did.
I am curious to know if anyone has any first hand experience with the 990x and what I can expect using H20 cooling. I would also like to know which BIOS you reccomend.
TIA.
I would connect them both :), It does improve performance, the board actually regulates the power itself, and heres a funny part, I had a modular molex cable, and the board via the 4-pin was actually supplying power to my soundcard, as I forgot to plug it into my AX1200 also HAHA.
But, no it won't be a harm, it might actually help with ocing performance and stability.
Could someone please help me?
I'm thinking of buying this board but before I do I wanted to know what version firmware the Intel RAID controller is running & what version the SATA 3 firmware is running?
Thanks
Still tinkering, but this is where I'm at so far...
(Likely won't push too much harder as I'm only running an H70 for cooling and I want a 24/7 stable OC)

I love my new toy i7-970 on my REXIII :D
I am with the latest bios 1102 and for uncore 3600 qpi needs ~1.3v
