This is "legal" way of changing it as AMD documentation describes. I wouldn't suggest more than 1.55V for core, without serious cooling (watter or something better).
Is "VID Ctrl" something specific to a certain chipset or mobo bios? I don't see it on my AT8-32X. 1.55V for core is more than I feel comfortable with anyway even on my water.Quote:

This is great! help me get and extra 50 mghz on my memory becuse the devider on my rs 482 only does 6/5 I set it to 180 devider and now my ram is running at much more appropriate speeds.

i have one more thing to ask. i'm using an asus integrated am2 mobo (m2npv). it doesn't have any kind of serious tweaking setting in the bios. but your fabulous tool can adjust the vcore from 1.4 to as low as i want. i just want to know we made this 1.4v as a threshold, amd, asus or you sir?
BTW, there is another weird thing i like to share. sometimes, an am2 3000+ can run at 2.7ghz with 1.4v and my super cheap 667mhz memory reaches 1ghz with default timing sequence. i run everything i can imagine simultaneously, testing software, surfing the web, emule, playing games and even scientific calculation. it goes like a rock. BUT, it cannot even reach 2.4ghz at some day. this mobo kinda have some emotion, i guess :rolleyes:

I have a small problem with the 0.62 beta version. I am no longer able to change the CAS latency of my memory. I'm stuck with the default value of 2.5, and cannot raise it to 3.0 or lower it to 2.0. When I change the value in the dropdown box and press "Set" the value just reverts to 2.5. This worked for me in v0.5 and the earlier v0.6x betas. Any suggestions?
Yes, that is correct. I forgot to mention, since changing CAS will likely freeze your system i've disabled it. If it is OK I can unlock it.

Sometimes is necessary to have them all for stable o/c ..

@Nick@crete: You cannot make custom divider just like that. AMD has integrated memory controller and memory speed is obtained by dividing CPU speed with some integer value. That integer value is controlled via memclk frequency bits ( originally only 2 bits thus 4 dividers available - 200,166,133 and 100). But there is another undocumented bit so with 3 bits you can have 8 dividers: 200,183,166,150,143,133,120,100). Newer revisions have one more bit (or maybe 2?) but only couple of them are known (217,233,250).
Please try calculator and see what happens when your CPU is not overclocked, try to use various dividers (memory clock). Remeber, memory divider is integer value and memory clock is target memory speed (of nonoverclocked system!). By dividing CPU speed with memory divider you should have memory speed less or equal (never greater than!) target memory speed. When you overclock your sistem, divider remains unchanged but since CPU speed changes so does memory speed.
Example:
1) stock CPU , Opteron 175 , 2200MHz (11x200)
If you want to run your memory at 200MHz, so you chose 200 divider which gived 11 memory divider so 2200 / 11 = 200Mhz.
But you cannot run it at 175MHz! If you choose 180 (which is actualy 183.333) , memory divider is 12, so 2200 / 12 gives 183.33MHz, it is greater than 175MHz. Ok, so you chose 166 divider which gives 14 memory divider and memory runs at 157MHz (it is not even 166MHz).
For 175MHz you need 12.57 memory divider. You see that is not integer value.
Try to play with calculator and see what happens.

Sorry, NO. It does not work under my Vista RTM HP x64, probably because driver is not signed. It tells "Error loading driver". But the program works fine under Windows XP x64 and Windows Server 2003, both 32 and 64-bit.Quote:
