Which MicroCenter?Quote:

Naturally, they don't have a MicroCenter in Delaware (no sales tax at all)....
I ordered one over the web from microcenter last week, should be here tomorow, I'll let you know if its a score or notQuote:

yup for a 15% restock fee, I may run it for 20 days and then send it back once the boards are more plentifull, and hopefully opt for the dfi, but it looks like a great board and I'm dying to try my 930 d, so I'll at least run it for a week.Quote:

Non-returnable and non-refundable items
Special buy or clearance items are not returnable unless otherwise indicated on the label attached to the product. Service parts, motherboards and processors may only be exchanged, and only if defective, within 30 days of purchase if in "like-new" condition. Labor, installation services and any shipping charges are non-refundable.
Let's hope they won't enforce their return policy when you send your mobo back...
Microcenter generally looks at your accont record (from credit card if retail) and pretty much takes anything back if you have been a nice customer so far.
I'll let you know if they'll take it back tomorrow as I'm gonna give em a call, its bluescreening me when I try to load windows anyway, everything on stock settings, and I know the processor and memory are ok, if they won't I'll try for a 2nd bad axe with them and if its a flop, then wait for the dfi to come out and sell it
jncs is good to do business with.....they sent me my board quick and were very helpfull and friendly.
Maybe, too late. Maybe, not.
Anyhow, sent you an e-mail.
How soon can you get one to me?
Is there any shop at the moment who has the rev3.04 in stock at the moment and ships to Holland (or Europe, worldwide, whatever. ;))
All the shops I've found so far didn't had any in stock (and it's taking at least 2 weeks for them to get some) or didn't show it as the rev3.04..
Looks like Fry's and JNCS are the only ones who have this board and both are asking highway robbery prices. I think Fry's asking $280 and JNCS is asking $300?
I agreed on JNCS' robbery but I broke down and ordered one. I found they offered excellent service, I got the board in record time and they even called me when I (wrongly) thought there was a delay. If you can get over the price at least they get what you pay for.
I guess you can't argue with service with a smile! :p

So does the Bad Axe 304 unoffically support DDR2 800?
Ive been thinking of getting a rev 304 for conroe as every intel board i have ever owned has been rock solid stable.
Here is what I can say about the BadAxe and 800MHz DDR2:
1) I have 800MHz DDR2, Rev 304 and BIOS 0908.
2) The box says it supports only 667MHz.
3) If I go into the BIOS it recognizes my RAM and offers an 800MHz speed option.
4) I can't test it because I can't yet get my FSB up to 333MHz much less over it. :)
I dont plan to do alot of extreme OCing so i probably dont need DDR2 800 correct? I hear a few people with these boards have had them fail but i assume that was under OCed conditions not just standard use?
The failures are generally caused by overclocking, and especially, running with elevated voltage, and more especially, running with volt mods. Even if you overclock as long as you keep volts within normal range you are likely ok.
Then MAYBE*** it should give you ratio options. 1066 = 4 and 1333 = 5, so all you need to find is a 4:5 Ratio setting. 1333 = 667 X 2 (Dual Channel DDR2 667 on each channel). The setting you'll need for DDR2 800 is 4:6 or 2:3. This keeps the FSB at 1066 and Runs the RAM at 800 X 2 to = 1600MHz Effective. Maybe if it allows 5:6 you can do 1333:1600:D But that's just me dreaming.Quote:
