Just bought a X2 3600+ with an Anus M2A-VM HDMI for a little fun, first AMD since my old Opty 170 that I sold last Sept when I went to the dark side with an ES E6600 :woot:
I'll post torture results when it arrives :D

PS take at least 10c of the temps.. they're way out on every cpu I put in this board.

this mobo overlots a lot
1.2875v set in bios....damn cpu-z doesn't read right voltage, only booster or probe2 does, why?????
Hi guys!
I have one question and i think you could help me!
Do you think an x2 4800 ccbwe have coldbug?
I put it on a vapochill LS.
Thanks!
I can't do OC over 3GHz. I don't know why... 1,55 isn't enaugh... grr... but 2800 on 1,425 stable is good for me... I have freezer 64pro on 1400rpm.
Maybe you hit the roof, but I got to say, freezer 64 pro ain't excactly high end, mid end and tops, so you might want to try out the BigTyphoon with the 120mm fan on it ... that's high end air... I might stretch it to say the new stock cooler for Opties and x2's are also, you know the one that has got copper on it? :) But freezer? Nope. That may be where you are blocked.
Did some tweaking of my CPU and RAM. THis is what i end up with

6000+ @ 3200Mhz @ 1.425 (in BIOS), RAM: DDR533@DDR1168 - 2.1V - Micron D0GMH
note on testing:
i use 2x regular superpie since it seems to be the best way to test
it would freeze up when OCCT (OCCTPT1.1.0) reported no errors
Question: Why use prime95 instead of just using orthos (orthos_exe_20060420), the new sp2004 ?

last stable superpi @:
1.475v (bios option) 1.424v (cpuz1.8)
2.55 GHz 10x255 MHz
1/2 mem divider (for testing)
cpu temp on load: 41°C
core1 temp on load: 39°C
core2 temp on load: 43°C
ambient temp ~26°C
Currently testing:
2.6GHz @ 1.582v (1.4*113%), 1.520-1.536v cpuz 1.8
Since my memory maxes out at 255-265 this isn't so bad, since I'll just run it at a smooth 1:1 ratio :) (see there is a bright side to everything ;) )
Will post updates!
:toast:
update 1:
last stable at 2.68GHz
bios set to 1.475*110% (=1.6225v)
cpuz reports 1.568v
superpi and orthos for 2 hours
At:
1.65v (1.5*110%) cpuz: 1.600v
2.69GHz
superpi ok but orthos freezes comp
core 1: 55C
Core 2: 59C
I don't see the point of going higher on air
it might even be dangerous :D
update 2:
Stable at 2.6
http://img106.imageshack.us/img106/7...rorthosbn9.jpg
Tested again at 1:1 with ram. 2600MHz cpu, 260 MHz ram :)
update 3:
NOT stable. RAM fails at anything above 250MHz. Stuck at 250MHz ram/ 2500 MHz cpu 1:1 for now.

best I can get for a suicide shot from my 3800 x2 939. Stable @ 3006MHz.
I maxed out my FSB.... :[ VIA FTL!

really the best I can do now, anything more reboot before I can save the validation file. 3217MHz.
Anyone seen this stepping before? lfcbf 0650upmw x2 3800 windsor
here is my old:

and my new X2 4000 65nm
http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/543/unbenanntkx1.jpg
I have the LFCBF 0648XPKW, 3800x2 Windsor in my kids cabinet, but it's a real cheap mobo, so without any voltages to play with it's kinda limited how much I get out of it. Testing right now as we speak on 2280mhz orthos, but that's with a big fking fat divider, 266mhz divider or cpu/8 as seen fro cpu-z, so I'm actually underclocking the PC2-5400 RAM right now. I'll see how much I'll get out of the cpu and fine-tune it later. It came with the fking alu-brick sht! So I put the copper cooler that came with my Opteron 170 on it, since I'm using the BigTyp 120 VX myself. Had to put some fans on RAM aswell since they are stuck really close to the cooler.
EDIT: Didn't even get 2.4 GHz on stock volt, which is 1.25V, so I'm kinda disappointed, but I'm testing it on 2150 Mhz which gives me DDR716 4-4-4-12-15 1T on 2volts to RAM (volt to ram is the only volt choice I got on this fking MSI K9N NEO-F mobo, but only up to 2.2v). The faster RAM speed atleast gives the kid a quicker loading time for the games he's playing.
Hi guys! New to the forum.
I have a Brisbane 4800+ and an Asus M2N-E mobo and I have a hard time overclocking. I think the problem is that the bios only let me get the RAM voltage to 1.95:shrug: So if i try 3.0,2.9 or 2.8GHZ the systems freezes or fails in orthos:mad: What is a good combination with that RAM voltage with out compromising HT speeds.
Any advise is apreciated!
@freakBYnature: I've forced my x2 3800 up to 2550, but that's the absolute max (at safe volts) it's a rev f2, and they are known to oc poorly.. On the bright side I can run my ballistix and cruical value D9HNL at DDR2 832Mhz as of now.
considering a brisbane now...

@savholic: your mobo sucks at oc'ing, if it is anything like the MN2-E SLI, the voltage options are just ridiculus, max vcore at 1,25..... You'll need some serious modding..
