Well I originally started the X2 24/7 stable thread for a sticky so people who are new to the X2 scene can get an idea of other peoples settings but anly a few posted here it is

An official sticked thread on X2 OCs (not unlike the one for the Venice and San Diego) would be warmly greeted I'm sure. Add in a top OC list and rules that include twin SuperPi 32M runs, CPU-Z validations, along with a little encouragement to not only post results but details. A bonus would be Tweaker shots and a form that would include crucial memory setting like "strengths" and specific Trefs.
I noticed the lack of an official or stickied X2 thread when I was trying to figure out if the 3800 CCBWE 0529RPMW at my local PCclub store might be a good OC'er.
Very very true! Thats kind of why I started the X2 24/7 stable thread but it didnt go over that well. So mybe I'll start a new thread for ss's and validations. There already is an X2 oc thread but people stopped posting on it. So I dont know if we should start a new one or continue the old one.Quote:

yeah i've been totally open and honest about it. I must admit, in all the two rigs i've owned (xp 1800+ and xp-m 2500+) i've achieved a 1ghz OC on both, so i feel a bit unlucky on this. Hoping to remedy it, with a new one. How are the latest batch overclocking?

I cant imagine anyone would argue against your selling your current CPU to purchase another.
Thats called free market. It's your product to sell and with the money you collect you're free to spend it on whatever you want.

Yes I got mine the first day they came out at Fry's here in Phoenix AZ. Well on air I was getting 2.95ghz on the TT Big Typhoon with the IHS removed so you may be right about that but I am not sure. If you ever want to sell that chip please let me know cuz I have 2 other 3800 X2's right now one is an E6 and the other is an E4. Lets see what that thing can do and if you need any help just pm me and we will see what we can get that thing to do. List your system specs also. Good luck! :clap:Quote:
