should have used msec modded pi and removed car low tests since they can vary 30+fps.
I agree though, low latency is very good... the problem is running "high" vdimm ;)

3.5 is safe for 24/7 use at least on my sticks it is had them for a year ran them for 6 months straight at that voltage before.Quote:

There is a thread somewhere on the forum about it. basically this board is exactly what i asked abit to make based on issues i had with my original fatality an8. whether or not they actually listened to me is a mystery though. all i know is i got what i asked for.
tictac can you do me a favor and rip apart the an8 ultra bios and the fatality an8 bios. the damn board is identical so i see no reason why it cant support the higher voltages they all use the same chips even the sli board i have uses same chips..........unless the uguru chip has its own bios? or programming if so then how would i program it with the an8 ultra info. If i can get it to work i won't have to buy an an8 ultra also as for phase isnt gonna be good on this board with that cmos battery so close.
your cpu is better than mine.. best I can manage is about 315 with my 2x512 of TCC5 ;)
heh thats bench stable only best i can do 110% stable is 2.4 gig prime stable for months and thats at 240fsb at 300 fsb i get prime crashes random sometimes in 1 hour sometimes in 6 hours sometimes in 36 hours. To further determine it was cpu i used dividers running memory at lower speeds and still failed prime. i think its or hope its heat related though. this claw just generates alot of heat Ocing with air is out of the question with this one.Quote:

anything over 250 fsb = prime errors and anything over 2.4 gig also = prime errors. hopefully eventually ill stumble on a good cpu so far im 3 for 3 now
And yes I know prime isnt the god of all tests but I'm a pro alpha league gamer and cant afford to have any errors and or crashes while I am in a match even though i have never experienced one at 2.6gig. If prime fails than its not stable enough for me
same sort of thing with OCAU and i4memory guys in Australia...most people use water cooling for them here
i just found out we have a distrubutor for Gskill ram....sweet stuff.....i noticed they have PC4800 ram for AUD$350 inc.local taxes (~USD$260) never before was it remotely close to this....there's gonna be a lot more TCCD guys here now...besides corsair which doesn't reach gskill levels

Well i have 4 boards here on test for reviews. 1 of them is the DFI SLI-DR and the other 1 is the ABIT AN8 Fatal1ty SLI and i can tell you that for stability the ABIT wins hands down....for board features the ABIT wins hands down......for bios options the ABIT bios is stable and is currently being worked on to include a number of options to the end user. I cant say much more about what if any options will be included because im under NDA....lets just say watch this space.... ;)Quote:

The board responds much faster, is more stable....oh hang on i allready said that :woot: and to top it all packs some neat groovy bling red LED's on the MOBO MOFO.
ok so i lied my tccd had a little more left in it i forgot i was running tight timings so i loosened them up a tad and got this. The board and memory is 100% stable the cpu however as ive stated before is stable in everything except prime. ran prime for 3 hours then crashed.

I might just order a gig kit of mushkin redline xp4000 as i found out my friends redline isnt 4000 speed rating. unfortunately i cant get it in 2x256 mb packaging seems to be available in 2x512mb sticks only :/ but for $200 its less than gskill.
thought i might just add this tidbit of info for the rest of you. My bios is 13 that i received with this board and i have no issues so im not about to change it with the scores im putting up.
chew*... get some decent cooling & VGA card
3stage cascade + x850xtPE + FX55 + XP4000
break some 3dmark2001se record ;)
Ok let us know when the new alpha bios will be available :)Quote:
