I've read 5 times your guide! ;) :toast: Thanx for this one. But even if my kit pass successfully both goldmemory 6.64 (GM) and memtest (MT) 1.65, but S&M's 4th memtest get me errors!!! :( My Vddr=2.69V. If I set Vddr=2.66V GM is failed! If I set Vddr=2.75-2.80V MT - OK, S&M - OK, but GM - is failed (IMHO overheating :().

TCCD datacode for 1st module is 0519.
TCCD datacodes for 2nd modules are 0519 (front side of module) and 0522 (back side of module). Is the problem in chips datacodes?

Please set the memory Vddr to 2.73v~2.75v, and lower the drive strength. I offen use 7.
Two different datacode on one module happens.

And a fan above the memory really helps alot!

I dont have any fan to cool my ram, but if I did should it blow on the ram or suck from the heat away.

Yesterday I installed 120mm fan (12V). Heatsinks became barely warm!!! Even supplied by 3.0V!!! The best results (without errors) were registered when I set Vddr=2.95V and 3.0-4-4-8-2T.
Also I wanna notice that 1T gave me on 600MHz several errors only in 4th memtest of S&M...
Does it mean that my kit can't work rock stable on 600MHz?
Why did 2T give me stability?

It seems I've got stability with following setting:

My modules passed successfully:
1) Normal S&M memory test;
2) Quick Goldmemory memory test;
3) MemTest - 3 times and 31 times of only test #8 of this one.
I think that huge stability improvement I got when I set 32 Byte Gran. = Enabled! :)

Yesterday my kit passed successfully 12hr Goldmemory 6.64! :)
Also I changed my PSU. Now I have Seasonic SS-600HT.

Yesterday I finished complete testing (each test I used for 12 hours) of my kit. Settings and results are below.

It's the final results cause even on 2.5-4-4-8 I got many errors!

Hi guys

I am new here this is my RAM: PDC1G3200+XBLK , I have DFI NF4 Expert with Opteron 175, what should my timings be or which one of the other timings can I use try to run Prime95 265*11 w/ 1/1 divider, windows loads and all 3DMark tests run fine but Prime95 fails. So please advise.

with 265 you should be able to do 2.5-3-3-6(or 7) with decent TCCD

if not try 2.5-4-3-7

just try to follow this guide (go back to the first few posts by kakaroto), its an awesome guide that has helped many people get their TCCD clocking right (including me :))

The patriot are good mem, but Prime95 would fail after 2+ hrs any ideas? What about the other settings?

i need to take a look @ your other ram settings

download CPUz here

and download A64 tweaker here

run CPUz first to make sure a64 tweaker is giving you correct settings, then open up a64 tweaker, take a screenshot of it, cut out the rest of the background, i just want the tweaker screen so i can see your timings right now

also, other things that would be helpful, CPU type, power supply, voltage given to ram and CPU, as well as drive and data strengths used right now

I can't do 265 * 11 give me a blue screen and reboots, I can do 260 no problem, I used SP2004 for the stress tes for both cpu's and it passed for 8+ hrs but prime95 fails. Why?

try using a different version of a64 tweaker, 0.60 beta, it shows a few more options

first off, i would try to set most of these in the bios if at all possible, and then test with memtest86 test 5 or test 8 for a few passes before running in windows. if you dont care about your windows installation, go ahead and tweak in windows, but its possible you could get some instability and corrupt vital OS files.

set drive strength to 7, and drive data strength to 2, these are usually pretty stable with tccd.

set the tccd voltage to about 2.73-2.83, overvolting tccd can just make them perform worse.

here are a few things you might be able to try
only change things one at a time, that way, if something doesn't work, you will know which setting it is

first off, the configuration parameters look much lower than what i have normally seen

read write queue bypass, you have 8x, try 16x
for bypass max, try 7x
max async latency 8ns
read preamble, leave it at 5 for now, if you hit a wall, move it to 5.5
idle cycle, it to at least 128, maybe 256,

as for the timing parameters

tcl of 2.5
trp of 3
twr, twtr, and trtw maybe set to 2 if you can, trrd to 2 as well

some settings may not work, but thats basically the tweaking part for you. these settings are just some to start on. Tref is another big setting for you to experiment with, a good tref can get a few more mhz onto an OC

when tweaking your ram, just make sure you arnt' stressing your CPU as well, drop back a multiplier or two.

hope some of this helps

use superpi to test the ram first, it usually picks errors up quick

im guessing just open to of them up, maybe set affirnity in the task manager, or you might not have to do that. i dont have a dual core , so im not sure, but one of them should be able to detect any ram errors you have i think

right now your base timings are 2.5-3-3-7, which wont' clock as high as 2.5-4-3-7, just so you know

Ok guys thank for all you help, but I think it is my ram that is holding me back, I already had to RMA 1 set this is another set got better results with this set then with the other set. I am running now @ 250*11 w/ 1/1 divider, Prime95 running on both CPU's. These are my setting, please commet on them where can I make improvements:

Trc should be kept higher than Tras+Trp, so I'd try 11 there...
Trfc at 16 is also a better choice (you can lower it afterwards)...
Trwt at 3 (instead of your 2)...

some of those were just what worked for me,
ill have to go take a look into my dram settings in my bios later

keep dynamic idle cycle counter disabled

and joe, those are just some of the settings that worked for me, not saying that all TCCD can do that, try a few different settings on yours.

i personally spent about a week working on my ram to get it where i wanted it, killed my OS a couple times as well

you can set your dram speed to normal
just wondering, but how many volts are you giving your CPU right now?
