help please cant overcolck mine

i have nermax 350w

a 6200 agp of inno3d with 3.6ms sumsung mem

i cant even overclock in 1 mhz over the stock defult

have no idia y
my spec
p4 1.4 bus 800mhz
board abit is7-e2

dunno y i cant overclock it tried everything ??? maybe bios update for the board ??

help me please.......

Did you enable the extra 4 pipes using rivatuner or by BIOS mod ?

one other question , is one of the pipes i enabled damaged??

and if i will wont enable them in rivatuner and will enable them in bios ? will they work ok ?? (i case they are dameged ??)

how do i know they r ok couse one guy in page 16 said that this is a sign that 1 or more of the 4 pipes i enabled is damaged ??

by the way i got 1414 with 4 pipes and 1881 with 8 pipes in 3dmark 05

Yes, if internal test for overclocking always fails after unlocking extra 4 pipes, then they are damaged.
But as i said, maybe they can work without apparent artefacts in almost situations ;)

Nope, as soon they are enabled (bios or rivatuner) internal test will fails anyway if extra pipes are'nt ok.

There is no way to know... you need to test as many games / benchmarks you can. If it work for your uses, then it's ok ;)

You can always overclock before doing the unlocking process. Then it'll keep your overclok setting anyway.

You can do it that way I guess, but most people just disable the rivatuner test I think.

It's what i meant by "You can always overclock before doing the unlocking process. Then it'll keep your overclok setting anyway" :)

got on 3dmark 05 -2212

and on 3dmark 03 -5466

by the way, how do i know the temperature on the card ?????

If it is not in rivatuner then you will need to mod the BIOS, I used nibitor from http://www.mvktech.net/component/opt...ory/Itemid,26/

you backup the BIOS using nvflash to a .rom file
You open the .rom file and tick the temp trick box in nibitor
you save the modded BIOS to .rom file
You load the BIOS and it is done.

On another topic I did the volt mod last night for memory but it only went up 20Mhz even with 2.92v, so I may be unlucky. Card now running at 685/714 but still cannot beat Gigi's 03 record ... arrghh !

there seems to be a bug in the Sparkle temp monitoring as the lowest it ever goes is 36C. When I bench at 1.72v and 685Mhz all I see is a dead flat line at 36C as the temp is actually lower than that.

Temp of coolant is -20C.

I am severely bandwidth limited at present, stupid memory .. 2.92v and only 714 when some people are hitting 800 :rolleyes:

I seem to recall Conrad had one of those ( or similar 0, check out the graphics volt mod section .

That's a very cheap looking heatsink, I might be tempted to dump it when up and running if you plan to do a lot of overclocking.

Yea, I have a waterblock for it. I only plan on running that for a few weeks until I get an adaptor for my MCW-50.

I just check out the one conrad has and it looks a little different. His is a XFX 6600 and mine is an Apollo 6200.

Looks like Samsung 5ns. If it is, it might be a stretch to reach 600ddr.

ok got the tempature mod working but a funny thing there , dont have any idea what is a good temperature range without risking a meltdown of the card

my best guess is arount 60 deg celsius ( while pushing the card limits)

You should be able to get 70C and after that troubles will start to apepar I'd say ! 80C at a pinch ..

1000/5 = 200 aka 400 DDR! No way you gonna reach 600 ddr......how on earth did you get such bad gfx ? 6200 default is 350/550 !!!!

Yea, I know! Newegg.com has the card listed at 300/550, that's why I bought this card. I e-mailed them the other day and here's the response I got.

The product specifications falsely advertised a speed of 550mhz memory speed. I just e-mailed them back claiming again that I want to exchange this Apollo for another card, let's see how they respond. I do deserve a refund don't I? Should I straight out demand a refund or exchange?

I hate to say it... but I think they got you on this little line. Newegg doesn't guarantee the accuracy of their description. You're supposed to make sure of that yourself unfortunately. I hope they let you return it/exchange it though!
