The Accelero allready have some small heatsinks on the VRM, and i dont think those mosfet heatsinks from Swiftech would fit.

hmm
ok fine temp here
Wow M8, great card you have there...
I just replaced my 2nd card, reference Saphire7970 and it rocks....ASIC 81.1%
1.25V 1340/2000...reference cooled

1.25V 1340/2000...reference cooled nice ? score in HWBOT Unigine Heaven Benchmark xtreme
No way with such clocks...it's too hot to handle load
May be 1320/1970-80
3100-3150 my assumption...tess off
3165.34 DX11 Marks with Radeon HD 7970 at 1355/1790MHz http://hwbot.org/submission/2256702_
whit water, max on air in this test is 1310
My 24/7 clocks. EK block does a good job.

Guys I see some very good clocks there, are the newer cards clocking better than the earlier ones? Or just lucky?
:P
yes, just lucky but not whit the mem ?ned 1.7v=1.66v to run 1825:(

Yes , just luck...my sample is one from the first ones, but now they replace it, because of broken fan control.
I'm in the opposite to MartinVR, memory clocks like mad - 2000 pure stable@1.7V.
But due to the heat generated with stock cooler, long benches like UH, Vantage need to sacrifice some Mhz down to 1310-20 on the core.
Asus 7970 CU II 1000mhz
1200mhz 1.16v is required to stop it crashing at this clock speed then 1225mhz starts artifacting badly and extra v doesnt help
1650mhz mem any higher and it freezes tried 1.63v but it made no difference may try more latter
gpu temp tops out at ~50c with the fan at 100% vreg reach 70-80c
asic quality 75.1%
currently its detecting my dell u2711 as having a max res of 1920x1080 and wont let it go any higher over dvi but works fine with the same lead in a gtx480 tried a few drivers but it has made no difference
i was planing to put this card on water but i doubt it will help it go any higher :(
unless there is a vmod i can do that might make a difference when gpu v doesnt
maybe the cards pll solder point will help? without a asus rog x79 mb does anyone know if a vr soldered to that point may work if so what type 10k 20k 150k?

read mem to 1.7v in MSI afterbuner, but whit multimeter is read it to 1.66v;)
ned vmem mod
This might be slightly off-topic but how is the VRM cooling on the reference HD 7970 cards? With stock cooling that is. Seeing as the core temperatures look generally fine even with quite high overclocks on air I was curious about VRM temps. Are they fine too?
yes. Generally, VRM is 6-8 or so degrees celcius cooler than gpu under load with the stock cooler
So CFX result Sapphire reference stock air cooled cards + CPU on Air...still hot to bench 5100+ :(

Does everyone has this massive vdroop with the 7970's ?
I run core @ 1.038 in afterburner and VDCC drops to 0.955 under heavy load . Still stable at 1000mhz core though at that voltage .
925mhz core can be done with 1.000 afterburner (0.93-0.94 under load) .
The memory runs at 1.5V now , 1375mhz . But can do 1800mhz on stock 1.6V .
Anyway , i like things quiet :D so i run 1000/1375 . Because if i touch the memory it doesn't power save
Also , when I set memory to 685 in afterburner 2.2 beta14 , it doesn't stick . It keeps on 1375mhz .
I'd love an option to lower the memory during bitcoin mining .. And i'd even more love a bios editor like RBE which support 7970 . :p:
O , i have the XFX core edition version version 1.3 .
ASUS 7970 DC2T
Stock Setting Multimeter Idle Short-Load Long-Load=Hotter Overclocked Load 1204\1657MHz 1162\1600mV
PLL ? 880mV 886mv 887mV 888mV
GPU 1112mV 803mV 1088mv 1086mV 1134mV
MEM 1600mV 1601mV 1587mv 1583mV 1584mV
Load test was just heaven and long load was simply leaving it run for ~ 3 min till the card heated up a bit
gpu idle 300MHz
Idle mem clock? afterburner & gpu-z report 150MHz but asus gpu tweak reports 600MHz
Afterburner memV adjustment doesnt work with this card
Edit: well that didnt work so well hopefully this is a bit easier to read

I have to test with asus bios test
but even if I can overclock with the bios, so jump on in every test, even without oc.
have tested for the 1400/1850 1.312 v/1.727v set with GPUtweak
performance is very poor with the BIOS, relative to the original
I am getting bad artifacting, and fan control drops to 50% even when set to 100% all when trying to overclock at all.
bad card time to RMA?
bios is asus, and drivers are the pre certified ones (12.2)
edit: it was the 12.2 pre certified drivers. I also flashed to the MSI bios (link below) as the asus bios has poor performance as Martin said.

thx and the voltage is 1.3v max in trixx and AB or 1.4v in gpu tweak ?
