Typical of that voltage would be 900MHz or 910 maybe. Ram would be 2150 max.

Max of 77*C with the fan max 76%. Guess I'll crank up the fan a bit more and see if it makes a difference.
Edit: Raising the fan makes no difference, still getting green red and blue lens flares in random places. Might have to give the voltage another bump to get it stable at 910. Gonna try it at 900 even and see what happens.
Looking fine at 875 / 1750 / 2200 @ 1.075... I'll tweak with it more later.
950/1900/2300 is easy at 1.1v ... I tried 1ghz at 1.1v but didn't make it all the way through the benchmark.
Even though my card is an asus, it didn't come with the asus bios or id but it does have their sticker and packaging.
Here's my baseline run with 8xAA
Attachment 110578Attachment 110579
And the OC run also with 8xAA, my cpu is at 3.5ghz right now and seems to be holding me back in this benchmark since I got a lower minimum fps with the OC. Gpu temp holds steady at 32c.

950@ 1.1V stable is very good.. have you tried playing 3d games for more than 1hr? i got mine stable in benchmarks (except vantage) @ 950 1.1 but it would crash in BFBC2 Vietnam.. also that ram clock is high and taking some of the voltage i believe - so you may need more.
My VGA need 1.213v for 1025 core.
VGA MSI, i flash BOIS EVGA. Stok voltage you set 1.213v

Vantage
Just got my EVGA GTX 580, VID is 1.000V.
Is this good?
Just got my EK 580 GTX in my loop last night. I have to say compared to the Swiftech blocks I've used, the install was the sucks but I didn't mind a challenge ( I like the fact Swiftech use threaded metal standoffs and have precut TIM unlike the EKs). Thankfully the performance was worth the effort
So far with my 1.025v card I'm running at 950/1900/2400 (1.138v yet to find the lowest voltage I can run at, tried running at 975core but wasn't stable ) which is getting 726x in 3D11 Performance. I'm quite impressed with how consistent (and quick) 3D11 is though, very nice ( extremly low varriance compared to Vantage and 06 )
Just curious whats with all these so called single card performance results at 8-9K+? ( I'm talking futuremark's result browser) They often have a much higher graphics score but their other sub scores are lower than mine in many cases. Is this Futuremark not properly detecting multi gpu systems? According to their info some of these 8-9K results were obtained with i7 under 4ghz and 580s under 900. Seems odd. That said many of them say non FM approved drivers but I don't see a beta doing that kind of magic, I'm running the 236.09s myself.
I'll try to get a heaven run up here in a bit.
Dang thats awesome, thanks mate :)
today i got the ek rotary fittings/ceramique/everything i need to complete the system finally
the 3x 1.025vidders recapped and ready for action.. the mobo+cpu+ram waterblocks are next.. maybe ill have it up and running later tonight/early morning i will not rest until its done

Here we go, Napalm is back on it :D Just my opinion, dont bother water cooling ram, its pointless in terms of longevity or clocks, and is a massive restriction in the loop. A second loop is not worth it for ram alone due to no gains or increased longevity. Air is fine for ram.
Caps are the shiznit. Napalm has even recapped his toaster for better browning performance :D
J/K. They help with voltage regulation and ripple, which can gain you clocks depending on original circuit design.
They'll be fine, people have run OC cards for years no problems. Just dont be running 90*C 24/7 folding or something.
I'm tempted by these GTX580's (would get an EK FC block too if I did) however my modded GTX295 @ 774c/1692s/1242m is scoring the same as GTX580's at 900-950c/1800-1900s/2200-2400m so I have no real reason to upgrade except for DX11 which is not really being utilized atm. I'd like one, but I don't need one just yet..........I'll keep an eye on this thread.
Ah lol ok :p:
^ :D
its alive!! its alive!! just mere minutes ago got lifeblood going thru the system and temps are low really low :) i have to worry about condensation
the mobo+waterblocks took long time to get done + ran into quality issue on the vrm waterblock anyways got it done nonetheless and i got pix along the way and will postem later today very tired right now
if all goes well ill post a benchmark in few mins
Awesome! Pics or it didn't happen.
Hi guys,
I made this video while i modified an nVidia GTX580 reference video card.
Modifications performed are: Cold Bug (CB), Cold Boot Bug (CBB), GPU voltage (vGPU), and vMEM (Memory voltage).
Hope it might help some guys to see what the modifications posted by Shamino look like in action.
Hardest bit was actually getting the voltage read points to stick to the capacitors (using a low powered soldering iron doesn't produce enough heat)
Be sure to view in 720p HD

Well I was able to get the cards (EVGA GTX 580 Hydro Coppers) to post at 1GHz, but found that they were not benchmark stable at that frequency. The temps were fine (low 60s) even at a voltage of 1.138V, but just wasn't stable. Same at 975MHz. The second GPU test on 3DMark Vantage crashes at that frequency.
950MHz works great in benchmarks, but I don't think I want to keep it there for my 24/7 setting as I have to crank the voltage up pretty hight to achieve that clock. 925MHz seems to be my sweet spot for daily use. Was able to throw multiple benchmarks and games at them in SLI, completely stable and never got above 54C at any point. The blocks seem to be performing just fine. Looks like I wasn't able to snag a card that can hit the coveted 1GHz like some of you guys did.
Ran Heaven DX11 benchmark for 30 minutes, then ran 3 loops of the Crysis Warhead benchmark maxed out with Enthusiast settings @ 1920x1200 with 16X AA. High temp during the entire process was 54C, and my Average FPS in Crysis was 81.21FPS. Loving these cards.:D

My GTX580 SLI can only do 940/1880/2150 @ 1.2v
