6.5 multi doesn't work man.......:(

Uf....much hours testing theplatform on air, and I still ned to push some more. Anyway, I am getting close to the point where LN2 on the GPU should make it all interesting (not a winner, but at least a decent tweaked result). And ya, I know, GTX 260 is not good for this competition, and neither is i7, but it's fun to play with :D

insane LH and CL there man
i7 looking good there lol
Yeah bro but I personally keep having problems. My team-mate, matose, is running a similar set-up but with a different GTX 260, a C0 and a Calssified instead of DFI. And he gets lower but more constant results, while mine vary very much from run to re-run. I have to sort this out... If I manage to hit 88k on air, then I will put LN2 on the GPU for a honorable result :)
Monstru , very interesting result:) your result with 1200fps nature and go arround 91k:cool: but must be gpu on LN2
you edited your post and mentioned it was a bugged run and its back on
so is it bugged or not
that LH looks like its been done at higher MHz lol its that good heheheh
amazing NB speed there as well from your chip mate
dinos22 - It was a bugged CPU-Z mate, I opened and closed it for a few times and save a couple of results. But if we start doubting results when they're even far from being what they should, I can start video-taping my runs, just to be sure ;)
Brandybuck - of course, LN2 for the GPu is a must, but I'd rather maximize the system on air first :)
LH can really be impproved, as you can see, but CL is really moving around too much for my taste...Must tweak some more, before LN2 :)

Monstru , do you have 280 OR 285gtx ?:D
i'm not doubting ya mate
just wanted to hear what you meant there when you posted that
btw what was the last test you ran there in the first screen you posted? CL?
Brandybuck - I have GTX 280, GTX 285, GTX 295, 9800GX2 and HD4890. But it's more fun to play with the weakest of them all. I don't want to use the obvious combination (Rampage Extreme + E8600 + 4890). Anyway, after a LN2 run on this one, I will probably switch to somthing more powerfull, but I will try to get a good result without using 4890 :D
dinos - I know bro, I am teasing you. Now....just 117 points untill I declare myself happy with the air result. This is a great CL, but I had to run it a million times to get it.
In the first screenshot I re-runned DH after Nature (had some bad fps initially) and then I runned CL. So last test was CL. In this screenshot, also Cl was last, run >10 times, after Nature.

The difference between the 2 screenshots is HT off :)
so you jumpted from 1104FPS on CL to 1218
:banana::banana::banana::banana: me dead
how many times did you run it....150+:D
btw also try testing dual channel RAM on i7
i definitely know 3DMARK03 runs faster from some brief testing a few months ago
why do you say that REX+E8600+4890 is the obvious combination
i'm not sure you'll get anywhere near 4870 numbers let alone what you are showing with GTX260
I also validated the last run :)

No bro, with HT ON the CL would vary between 1055 and 1218!!! That is why I said I had huge variations. At first, it would go like this: 1st run 1060, 2nd run 1180, 3rd run 1055, 4th run 1196 and so on. After I turned HT OFF that kind of behaviour dissapeared and now it goes from 1180 to 1220, and with a lucky run of 1222.
Thank you for the advice related to the ram configuration, I will give it a try. Regarding REX + E8600, it's obvios that if you can make it work with a low x.5 multi and something >650 FSB, we are all dead, and the Nature is much better on E8600. And the 4890...well....it is slower then 4870 but it it easier to take it that high :)
Now I don't think that this GTX 260 of mine is really something worth looking at. I think that there are some few tricks in I7's hat, and that makes it look so good. Maybe I will try with GTX 280 after a few days and see if I am right or not :)
BenchZowner - that I will try to find out with hopefully >900MHz GPU on the GTX 260 :)
IF you can get the nature with that up it's game over for all the Wolfdale ballers. :p:
Did anyone talked about 4890???this is for the greek bros!!!On dice that card gave me a hard time but in the end it became fun!!!Now i must concentrate to get a bit higher lobby low and maybe get some ln2 so i can bench with high clocked memory too.

Just 3 points from hipro's score:D That's a very nice score bro:D Keep it up!
Imagine 2 of these cards in CF......
Am I seeing 1235MHz GPU Core clock there ?!
F*
@ Monstru
With my GTX260 on stock air core 782 = 1087fps (this is using 8600+RE)
My first run cold with the core @ 908 (I think) = 1210fps
Your core is only 730 and your at 1041fps.
If you take a gain like mine, you may well get close to 1200.
Wish I could get my NB speed anywhere near yours, then I'd try myself.
But no hope of that.
lol interesting stuff boys
looks like there might be some nehalem submissions soon lol judging by these scores
WOW great card there and great tweaking mate :up::up::up:
you are lucky you can get your RAM that high on the card LOL......mine one start :banana::banana::banana::banana:ing out down from1200 around 1064MHz core  but subzero will help i guess a touch :D
Thanx a lot guys.Benchzowner special thanx to you for your cut down xp!!!!
Dinos22:definately subzero temps on the core help a lot to get the ram run even higher!!!Now i have just to find a sweetspot for lobbylow to get about 3-4fps.And then maybe jump to i7...who knows...
yeah i saw the change with stock volts and when i started improving temps and volts the RAM was able to stay at 1200 up to 1064 and then a straught green screen at 1066 ....i've tried bigger jumps but it didnt do anything
hey what volts and temps did you run
for extra FPS on LL up your NB volts and run PL8 straight from bios
that should give you more
but you are already at 500 which is definitely better than my PL9 or PL8 runs at lower GPU clocks
@crustytheclown
Man,you really did a great score bro.......Pretty amazing....Waiting to see what these cards do under ln2.Logic says that with a frozen pcb mem will scale even more.Again congrats
