I know, I've read that a few days ago ;), maybe she must try it out? :)

Thanks again for the positive feedback (note - it's okay to criticize too). I'll try to answer some of the recent questions:
Blue LED fans are medium speed Yate Loons ... typically run them on low speed. They are not too noisy, but I like the sound of the Scythe S-Flex E better (and they seem to push more air at similar speeds, but that's using the highly scientific "airflow on hand" test method).
The Iandh Thermochill grill has been removed. I'll go pack to my little plastic filter covers for now ... not perfect but do a good job with dust.
A variety of cameras and lenses have been used here. My most common is the Canon 40D with the EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 lens. The recent set of pics were taken with my husband's camera - Canon 1Ds Mark III with the EF 50mm f/1.4 lens, and the EF 100m f/2.8 Macro for the last couple of macro shots.
Now, back to work for me. Just replaced the fan grills, installing the Aquaero and a few other minor changes in progress.
I love the macro shots and now I will probably buy a macro lens too! You are costing me a lot of money Shazza. Enjoy the Aquaero.
Shazza, the pics look great. One reason I've never liked the MM cubes is because the front panels usually end up looking so convoluted and asymmetrical. But I think yours is the first one that I really like! Great job!
About the aquareo shutoff cable: you don't have to buy one, you can just use a standard PSU 24pin extension. Tap into the purple line to power the aquareo when the rig is off and then lengthen the green line and run it through the shutoff port on the back of the aquaero (though finding the little connector to connect to that port is a pain!).
Gracias, seeker and headala.
Shazza does feser one fluid gunk at all? i have seen you have been using it
Only been using Feser One for a week or so, Cosmos - but so far I don't see any gunking.
Welllllll, my day of clean up and final assembly has come to an end with nothing much accomplished. The death of my Aquaero Display has taken up my day - I was so hoping it was user error and something fixable. Doesn't seem to be, but ... who knows????
Maybe I will have a chance to finish things up this week ... next weekend is out, as we are going to Sedona, and I doubt I'd be popular if I said "Let's cancel - I want to stay home to work on my PC" ;)
I have the EVGA motherboard myself, just got a system up and running with it Friday. It's my first ever build, though it's still incomplete - I was running off a USB flash drive, then I was like "screw this" and partitioned my external backup drive, then I got curious, and long story short my external is now an internal. My VelociRaptor 300GB will show up tomorrow. :) Anyway, the EVGA seems like a great board so far - will you be stepping up to the Classified when it's out?
I'll be going GTX 285 as well once I get the money for it. I'm on a 8600 GTS I picked up from Newegg along with my RAM (Corsair Dominator 6gb) as a placeholder, and maybe dedicated PhysX card once my 285 is here.
Hi, Alex. I hope you are as happy with the EVGA X58 as I am - it's been great so far, and holding up to all the changes I'm puttiing it through.
I don't expect to step up to the Classified ... the current board has more headroom than I need at the moment.
those pics look amazing, i love the see through water block for the gfx. :)
Wow...what a treat. Last time I visited this thread you had just had the meltdown and declared an end. Today I come back to find 10 more pages of goodness :)
Looks really fantastic Shazza. Definitely one of my favorite builds. Really inspiring.
Love the house too (the tree huggers up here in Jacksonville make us call it wetlands...glad someone besides me still calls it the swamp, heh)
Thank you Aielman ... very nice of you. And - I agree, a swamp is just a swamp, no matter what the real estate agents want to call it.
A quick update ... received my replacement LCD for the Aquaero. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the same connector piece, which means I'll have to get a connector and do a bunch of delicate soldering to hook it up. Am investigating other alternatives til I get that worked out. Also found out my weekend away is NEXT week, so will have this weekend to try to finish this puppy.
:yepp: I think you are right, but I've got a temp fix (a little surprise for later).
I woulda just ordered another Aquaero already, but Sidewinders is out of them. I do, however, have a fix on thedealer who may be able to help me out
As for time to solder, I've also got a plan for that (he just doesn't know it yet ;) )
More than one way to skin the :cat:

:shock: :shock2: :cheer::peace::wiggle::confused2:bounce:
A 4 line display...only so many of those available. :wasntme:
She really has lost her mind, she probably spent more time finding those smilies than hooking that thing up!
And, I'm sure you know which one it is.
I wish! Notice the time delay between posts - did have dinner, but it took about an hour to redo my USB connectors, and then ... hooking the USB headers up while having to thread in between the video cards is a major PITA.
It's the Crystalfontz 4-line 634 USB display Drive-Bay kit. I'm basically using the Aquaero as an LT version (e.g. with no display), but can use the CF 634 for display. Still have the ability to control fans and monitor temps with the Aquaero. Not necessarily elegant, but works for now.
Okay, I thought it was a CrystalFontz...but it looked nothing like the display I have. I was on the right track I guess. :p:
