All you got was 618? :ROTF: ...no, I shouldn't laugh at that. Congrats on your purchase.

Alright, alright. I'm still new to the mobo and have had the sticks for 4 hours. Give me a little time.
18 is # 1,try the 4:5 divider.it worked better for me.
lol the egg just raised the price up to 149 on these.. i have been waiting for it to drop a little more then 139 and they raise it up instead..
Well now I understand why I was having problems. After a longer Memtest session (I usually run test #5 a couple of tomes when I first get new RAM), I found errors at stock speed.:explode2:
The Egg is sending a shipping label for RMA exchange.
I already sold my Mushkin Ascents, so I'm back to 2x1GB kits.
+1
Until you FIRST figure your correct MCH Reference ALL you ram will end up on RMA when the real problem is you have wrong settings.
Doesn't matter if it's in stock or ocied, even if you run on Bios Default you will always get errors if MCh Ref is off.
Don't RMA the ram they are fine...
I agree. Gigabyte boards are very solid and reliable. You just have to know their quirks and how to work with them. Asus boards are also very good. Ran 500FSB on one of my duals and got to 510FSB on my Q8400. I'm really not a fan of DFI boards though. I owned a lot of them and it just didn't matter what hardware I put with them, they were just a unstable POS. Even stock they would BSOD
Why would the NB voltage/GTLs be off after I've been stable with the Ascents for months? I was using the 200/400/333 straps and had my fsb from 266-545. The CPU was at 2.6-4.2 GHz.
Guys, I went all over the place with this RAM yesterday. Tried all the straps and speeds from 1200-1333. vdimm from 2.0-2.26v and MCH from 1.3-1.46v
I couldn't get it to pass Linpack greater than 4 out of 5 passes. When I finally reset everything back to stock and ran the full Memtest this morning and got errors (MCH was 1.35), I was pretty sure they were bad.
The sticks are already shipped back to the Egg. If my next set acts up like this I'll be sure to ask for help, but I'm pretty sure these were faulty out of the box.
Well got some Pi 9600s and started to play. Since I'm still fairly new to my mobo, it's not easy. Memtested fine at stock but had trouble going over 1200. Decided to see what they do with tight timings:

not bad for a 2x2GB kit.
Just to compare bandwidth, I took the same 417 FSB and raised the timings and speed:

Then I cranked up the CPU to 4.1 GHz which is where it's been set for several months:

Dissatisfied that I wasn't breaking 10000 on Everest Read, I cranked the vcore up a couple of notches and what do you know, I found 4.25 GHz:

SuperPi 1m under 11 seconds!:D
Orthos stable. Any higher on the CPU requires less RAM, and any higher on the RAM requires less FSB, etc... : http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/o...can/Pi24-7.jpg
set you vtt to 1.3
i cant beleive thats the limit of cpu+board combo
try a different bios
took me 5min to get a quad higher with that board
i'm happy i never bought another gigabut product just not consistant quality
1 board clocks like crazy n the next will suk or just die
He doesn't?
I'm trying everywhere from 1.3-1.4v wiith CPU ref ~63% and MCH ref ~60% (at Ghostleader's recommendation), MCH 1.36-1.5v
I've gotten stable (Orthos for a hour) once at 505 FSB 4.05 GHz and 1212 MHz.
I have yet to get the RAM past 1240 without failing Memtest, Linpack, etc...
You must have been testing for a long time... :)
I was hitting a similar wall at 515MHz FSB with two different kits once too, then radaja gave me a hint and said I should raise MCH reference to 0.770V, maybe that can help you.
:D:D i stick to my guns even if finally gigabut made a descent board in over 10 years:rofl:
2007 was a bad year for me i was averagin 1 gigabut board a month + a set of d9 after the 4th rma the fifth board died at stock in weeks
dont be afraid to just jump 10fsb at a time you might have holes with dividers
just put in 2.2v in the sticks n clock her to 1300
Hey guys, any 1 know how i can get my hands on some of these exellent chips...cuz im in AUS and well to put it plain we decide not to ship any 1200mhz ddr2's...the only 1'd they ship r OCZ's and theyre not as good as G.skillz, Another guy told me just to import them....any ideas...newegg doesn't ship international. Any 1 know a company that would do that kind of thing..also the price has to be resonable.. Also how do u guys think these will OC on my board..i know Zsamz will not like this but i got a Gigabyte X48-DQ6, and looking at upgrading my CPU to Q9550 aswell.
