Currently I am looking at possibly water cooling two GTX 280's and a core i7 920. I already have a MCR320 mounted on the top of the case.

It is cooling my current rig that is in my sig, but I believe it is at its limits.

I was going to get a second stackable MCR320 and mount it on the top also, it should fit but will be close. But with this setup I'm afraid it will not be as efficient as having the two radiators separate.

Would it be possible to mount a MCR320 in the front of the case? I want to keep the modding down to a minimum if possible but I don't mind doing some.

Another idea I had was to mount the two MCR320's on top and also add a 160mm radiator on the back which should give me enough cooling.

Current fans: 3 Scythe SFF21F PUSH config

Any recommendations is appreciated thanks!

Anyone tested the temp differences between the side 230mm fan and having four 120mm fans in its place?

Stacking would be fine. It won't be as efficient as running in series but they would be fine for your setup.

If you want MASSIVE airflow, that's the way to do it. If that's what you're looking for, replace the top 230 as well. Personally, I don't see the need. Replace the rear 140 with a better one and call it good. They have roughly 250-300CFM worth of fans on there in stock form. What are your temps now?

Yes, from the test's in the WCing section, it shows that it's best when used with 1200rpm+ fans. Just so you know, you won't get anywhere near twice the cooling capacity, using them in a sandwhich and parallel.

Temp are very good, depends on ambient. Mostly 55degrees max for my q6600@3.6, 60degrees at 3.8Ghz (prime95). Fans@800rpm

Excuse the wire management. It's not finished yet as I am wainting on 2 plates for NB and Video block.

wow a rosewill psu? and that wiring mess is pretty nasty lol

with my mcr320, i've decided to have the barbs come down from the side of the drive bay, i tried the other way and the turn from the rad to the cpu block was too tight and i didn't want it to kink up

i also plan to use some stainless steel pci slot plates to mount the mcp355 + xspc restop to the vented holes on the back of the case near the pci slots.

hope this works with just a screw and nut

I wonder if its possible to fit another MCR320 in the front of this case, I think I saw a picture in this thread some where of a radiator setup that way. Anyone know if this is possible?

You could do a 2x double rad setup, with power supply and a double up top, and a double below

I'm not sure i could fit a 120x2 radiator with a 1000W+ PSU which are a bit longer?

What about the stackable MCR320 on top and a 160mm on the back where the exhaust fan is located? Maybe that would give me enough cooling?

minimally, you'd have to move the hard drive cage "backwards" toward the motherboard a bit to be able to squeeze in a MCR320 + 3 x 120mm fans. you'd also need to drive 2-4 small holes on the bottom of the case to secure the new placement of the hdd cage.

no, not internally, only if you get a radbox and hang it on top and snake the tubing through the rear WC holes

I don't think it would at all, maybe you'd have more luck with a 15mm fan spaced rad, you'd definitely need to relocate the front panel at very least.

I think using 2 MCR320's stacked on top and a 160mm on the back would be my best bet.

I mean I could try the two MCR320's stacked without a 160mm but I don't know if it will be enough to take both GTX 280's and a core i7 overclocked with decent temperatures

Also where might I find a 160mm?

Or maybe I could use a 120mm rad since they are much easier to find, would probably make up for stacking the MCR320 also.

i adjusted (modded) my Armor case kinda like it :up:

Well you can hardly call it modding as i only cut 2 holes :p:
