Cause it's SPD programmed to be recognized as PC6400's so that it is compatible with non PC8500 compatible boards. (jedec still says 800MHz as max iirc) Nice clock!.
are all F3's has a 65W or it has also a variant of 89W?how would you distinguish and what the main difference when it comes to vcore?
The X2 5200 F3 has 65W TDP, but I think it's the only one. The rest have 89W(5600/6000) or 125W (6000/6400) TDP.

I believed it was 1,20/1,25v for 65W TDP, 1,30/1,35W for 89W TDP and 1,35/1,40v for 125W TDP. What are you reading the voltage with?

Probably not. If you got a 5000BE, the only Athlons I would upgrade to would be the 6000/6400BE, just make sure your mobo can handle them (125W).
Personally I wouldn't upgrade at all, if I got a 5000BE, I would be waiting for the tricores coming late Q2 (probably).
Anyone have any results from the 89W 6000+ CPUs (ADA6000IAA6CZ (OEM) or ADA6000CZBOX (Retail))?
I am trying to decide whether to go for the 5000+BE (£67) or an OEM 89W 6000+ (£90)...
Please go for the 6000, I'm curious about that one too. Haven't seen any results of it yet. Should be better than the 5000BE anyhow. (exept for power consumption that is)
If you got the 5200+ with the stepping you have in the sig, you should be able to reach 3Ghz at reasonable voltages. It will be faster than a 5000BE at the same speed, wouldn't call it a bad move exactly.

Does anyone know how the 5000 BEs typically perform at low voltage? I would have expected the 5000+ BE to do a bit better than 3.0 GHz at 1.35 vCore. But OTOH I've found that the low-voltage editions don't necessarily outperform the 125W editions at "Cool'n'Quiet" OCing(say 1.2 - 1.3 vCore). My 6000 (125W edition) easily beats my 5200 (65W edition) @ 1.3 vCore, even though they are both CCB8Fs.
(The original file was too large so I had to reduce its colour depth...)

My 5200+ EE clocks a tad higher @ 1.4 vCore and above, but my 6000+ is far better @ 1.3 vCore and below. Given their similarities in stepping and batch, I was rather surprised to learn that the 5200 EE didn't outperform the 6000 at low voltage. But after further testing and comparisons I got the impression that the high-end models have quite similar voltage scaling on average, although I would expect the 6400+ to clock higher at any voltage.

I just noticed, i thought my x2 5600 was a CCB8F. After i put my new parts in, its a CCB3F. I haven't heard of this, is it good? i had it stable at 3.33ghz @ 1.425v
