Same thing happened to Mercedes CLK GTR in the Lemans track too IIRC. The car flipped off 360 degrees. I think it's more of other factors that caused accidents, not necessarily the car's problem whether it's a bugatti or mercedes.

Le mans car flew because they were too close to the car in front of them. They get all the aspiration from the speed of the car. So the car following gets less resistance from the air and so it flies right off

exactly, fanboy... the exige severly lacks the power behind the wheels... and lotus is also state of the art, pinical, etc, etc, etc... up until a year or so ago before they build an automated plant to mass produce the elise for america, they was also handbuilt and hand tuned

saddly the elise got a Celica GT engine and trans crammed in it so it would pass in the US, which ended up killing the car, b/c that engine and trans isnt capable of the one that lotus had been evolving since the start of production..

Are you seriously saying that the Exige has the same level of technology (state of the art) as a F1 car excluding the difference in engine power?
The F1 teams spend anything up to (and maybe beyond) $90 million per season developing and racing these cars, the suspension on each car is estimated to cost around $13 000, no car with a price of around $64 000 (in the UK) can claim to have the same level of state of the art technology.
Have you got the link for the F1 comparison with the Exige?

no still at work... im saying they are top of the line, but an exige is an exige, its built and tweaked and used by lotus, not some other teams... lotus gets alot of care taken to them when produced... and the power plant in the F1 costs a ton more than an exige peroid.... not to mention that the only improvement to the exige in the last few years has been a few tweaks...

not to mention that 90million isnt an extreme amount when you look at the racing world...

ill look for results when i get home, im sure im right, but could be wrong...

im sorry dude, but indy cars are nowhere near that expensive, ferrari would be retarded to spend that much, you can buy indy cars for $500,000 USD. only dif is they put blinkers, and rev limiter on them to make them streetlegal, along with some exhaust changes

f1 cars only cost about a million to make, and its very easy to get teh power out of the engine when you have no rev limiter, though i agree with you about the part of any lotus being compared to an f1 car, if any road car is compared to an f1 it would have to be a ferrari enzo, saleen s7, carrera GT, pagani Zonda, etc. somethign taht can go fast as :banana::banana::banana::banana:, and handle which would rule out the carrera GT leaving the ENZO, S7, and ZONDA

Why do you think all the lower teams are so deperate for cost cutting which is what a lot of the rule changes in F1 have been about.

I'm sorry 13oost but to the elise "pwning" an F1 i have to say ROFL!!!111!!1oneeleven.
The F1 car can do 3 times as many G's in a corner and smacks the elise all the way back to england.

IIRC fuel consumption of a F1 car is about 3mpg, that is they do about 100km on 75litres of fuel.
