Making P5WDH ready for Conroe: An Illustrative Guide

Stupid me, when I cleaned the bottom of the heatsink on the NB, I got some scratches on the bottom of the heatsink by not being careful enough. I'm wondering if I can get away with putting on the AS5 and using it anyway. I'm not really planning to OC heavily. Just hoping to bump my E6600 up to 3Ghz maybe. I'm more curious at my options which seem to be a) get ASUS to send me another one, b) lap the heatsink and see if I can get scratches(pain to do though) or c) buy a better heatsink for the NB and use it instead or d) try it with the AS5. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated!

This thread was a year old. Where do you think the photos went? Photos don't remain online forever on completely *DEAD* threads; someone has to PAY for that space, you know. There was no need to resurrect this thread, when the other main p5wdh thread would have been fine...
