Units shipping thread - finally

I don't have much to contribute other than I did get my unit from Reggie, not only that but I did get it back after it was damaged in transit and then shipped back.

He is a man of his word, and stands by his work. Loosing him would be bad for the entire community that is interested in learning to build/repair phase change units.

There is one thing that I really hope Reggie took away from all of this, to not take on more work than he can complete and put your life and health first before your business.

But just so I am clear that also means knowing when to say: I don't know when I'll have time to do it, could be 6 months or more wait if you don't mind.

i feel really bad for those of you waiting for over a year for an entire unit, my build paused because i A. ran out of money, B. am waiting for my evap from chilly, and C. i work alot now. but now that i've got a job im actually going to have money, but most of it's going into my car, so im not in a huge rush, but feb would be a wonderful time to get my evap. anyways, best of luck to all.

I apologize for being somewhat absent the last week or so, I've had some phase units to work on myself, so haven't been able to spend much time with the Fund and it's duties.

I'm back working on it though, and will be emailing the list and information I've gathered to Chilly1 and Fugger this weekend.

Gray Mole- Thanks for the update. Any posting to this thread helps quench the long droughts of silence (and possibly thwarting any accusatory verbal affronts.) Again, your efforts are most appreciated.

I could be ready to fly out there anytime after December 4th to help Reggie for a few weeks to finish some of the rest of the units. Gray, did you get with Fugger on this? PM me and we can work out the details. Also, is there a more current list than the one from the summer on when everyone ordered and what they ordered? I know you were working on a database, but we sure could use an update?

List isn't quite correct concerning my order, the Chilly1 single stage unit is supposed to have a 1/2HP high capacity compressor instead of the 1/3HP standard compressor that Chilly1 uses in his units and Chilly1 has my VapoLS already, otherwise spot on.

Thanks for keeping the list updated though!!

Thanks for all teh help and getting teh list together. Over the last couple weeks I have been cleaning up my house after the fire. I am moving into the new shop this weekend and should be up and running in a couple weeks, Once we get started things should progress well I will get pics up as soon as I can.

The Third week in Janurar would be a good time to come here if you want to help, I got an extra room and a couch, so a place to stay is not an issue.. so long as you don't mind cats...

Problem is I won't be available the third week in January. I got 12/5 thru like 12/23 available. We don't need the new shop....just a workspace in the garage. . .and parts and gas. I swear I can help you bang these suckers out. The education on all things HVAC and knowing I helped ease the backload are more than payment. . .

btw, rumor has it (from Charles) that my cascade is curerently being leak tested. Reggie, can you comment on the progress? Needless to say I am eager to get this installed. Please let me know. . .post a pic or two if ya want.

I am still waiting on "The List" from Gray Mole so we know who will be getting their unit for Christmas.

Just an update I did receive my phase change kit from Reggie. It was delivered to my old address so its sitting at my friends house until I can get to Atlanta.

Very clean shop, nice units too... glad things are falling into place! :woot:
