same happened to me exactly , Im thinking maybe the secondary bios is the way to go if your using a earlier bios version , Im using 1405 on my secondary , and been using 2001 on my main , so far so good

I get the exact same error message when trying to flash from 2001 to 1904. Great suggestions "the_real_7" I will try flashing my secondary bios tonight from 1485 to 1904 and give it a test.
I believe 1904 is the finalized version of the 1850 Beta. I think we'll see this also for the P67 series.
I also think 1904 lack the 22nm support.
same exact thing for me , my three our prime where always stable but linx was a hit or miss at 20 times , yesterday with same exact settings clear it each time no problems same for prime , with no increase in vcore or setting changes . . . today i tried again at work using my laptop with teamviwer and asus rog just in case of a lockup . no lock up ever occurred , i think tomorrow im raise the multi a bit :) , and see how much v core itll take me to ride 5.0 again , so far at at 4.8 load im using 1.450 not a golden child but surely a average good 2600k . .
Sorry guys i have a problem. How do I flashed the previous bios. I flash 2001 and I can't return to the previous, possibly 1904. I get the message "outdated". Sorry for my bad english.
P.S. I found a solution to the problem

what bios do you guys recommend for best stability 1904 or 2011?
bios 1409/2001
but are not quite sure voltset in bios 2001 if they are as good as the 1409
i am @ bios 1904. until now no problems or stability problems. for me itīs a good one.
Uou all tempting me to switch to bios 2001. Im currently running 1850 but i have hard time running over 5ghz.
I have not tried 1904, but 2001 is good to go:up:
Guys last night I got error code 00 on the debug and the board totally failed to boot. It had booed first time everytime with my current settings for over a month and was totally stable. First time I have ever seen this. I am on Bios 1904. I cleared the bios, tried the secondary bios chip etc etc etc. Nothing improved the situation. After about 20 attempts I press power on again and it suddenly started working again and again completely stable. I shut it down this morning and went back to it now and 00 code again. Anyone experienced this ?? any ideas whats causing it or how to fix it???
Think it has something to do with mem if pushed to hard! Has it in past 00 code when pushing mem!
Got post code 00 every time I pushed BCLK too far.
I wish that there is not problem with your cpu...
But I got post code 00 when my cpu died
same here 00 was a dead 2600k for me.. wouldn't boot on spare ud3p
hope yours is ok
what bios gives this errors)) ??? have a CPU that has just died, whit bios 2001 ? so I'm just scared because I've got a good cpu more, must I return to 1409???
ok,ty:up:
Guys I googled it and found several others with my problem. In my case I disabled the LN2 switch as many it seems have done and it solved teh problem straight away. Every boot since 100% fine.
It seems the LN2 option causes alot of problems with this type of thing so god knows why the board comes with it enabled.
start-up of motherboards
blck oc? my motherboard does double start, when I do OC with blck, it has it made with all bios, some who know or know of the error
Is the "GO" button really a good thing to use for boosting to a higher OC temperariliy?
Also how does it work exactly. The manual says to press it while in OS. Does this mean the boosted OC is instantly effective and really safe to use for when higher OC is needed?
thanks
Hi. I've wrote on asus forums about the debug code 00 error some time ago:
http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?...Language=en-us

Also happened to me. Seems like LN2 switch is the key...
Anyone tryed a Revodrive on a MIVE ?
Just received mine and wondering if im going to run into any trouble ?
Thanks Andres.
My Mive gona be 100% full ... 2 DCII + the Revo. Going to switch to the new Maximus X79. 1 more spot ;)

Hi all!,
I am about to purchase an Asus MIVE and would like to know which ram would be better?
Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
G.Skill Sniper F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR2 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL (2x4GB) DDR3
Thank you for your help, I couldn't find a thread which specified which ram is more preferable!
Regards,
All of them rams will run good out of the box. Depending what you want to to do ... if it's for gaming purposes 1600Mhz is a nice balance, more speed is always better for a faster overal setup... Ocability will differ from brand to brand... The vengeance 1600C9 according others doesn't seem to have much headroom...
i would buy patriot xtreme 2000 CL9 2x4 im runing 16GB at 2133 9-11-9-27 1T and i can go to 5600 no HT with them same timmings ;)
80 dollar per kit blast all i tested many and the ones u say above have nothing to do with this
u can get it here
http://www.ramexperts.com/ddr3/perfo...op-memory.html
tested on GIGA UD7 and MIVE
for me its your best choice
cheers
Sergio
@Andres
The top card heats more then the bottom one. 72°c and 65°c after 2x 3Dmark11 run.
1 more question.
I just installed windows on the Revo. had few trouble. Wasnt able to install windows at all with the SLI installed.
GPU1 on PCIe #1
GPU1 on PCIe #4
Revo on PCIe #3 ( in between cards, like on the pics )
Cant see the REVO when installing windows, tryed IDE, AHCI, Raid, Disabling evrything in boot order, disabling other SATA controller, nothing made it ... Removed second GPU, boot AHCI, everything enabled and able to install windows in the exact same PCIe slot for the Revo.
Didnt tryed to put my second GPU back in but its currently running with the Revo on the PCIe #3 and a GTX570 on the first slot.
If i put the second GPU back in and its not booting on the drive, ima little screwed .... cant use my 2 DCII and Revo in any other configuration. keep in mind they are 3 slot .. :( good cooling but reduce other way to install.

Obviously the main difference between the P67 and Z68 versions is the 'benefits' of the Z68 features, but when it comes down the Maximus, is one of them more stable than the other, or does one overclock slightly better?
Hi all,
Thanks for the responses for what brand of ram to use!
I have another question, is there a guide on overclocking with the Asus MIVE? I am very new to overclocking and would be good to use a guide of some sorts if one is available!
Thanks!
lol we are the guide ;) the xs ppl on this thread
but u can start on loading xtreme profile wich is an OC profile with all things u need disabled
then u just set vcore on 1,4+ / vccio 1,08 / pll 1.7 / internal pll = enabled for now / vdimm 1,65
and try the magic numner 50 x 100
good luck mate !!!
Sergio
Thank you for the reply! I am really looking forward to ordering parts next week and starting my build!
I have yet another question haha with this motherboard, I will be doing some overclocking and running 2 GTX 580 in SLi, would a 850W or 1000W powersupply be enough?
Also, what brand? Corsair or Silverstone? I would like to keep the powersupply modular aswell.
Regards,
P67 is mature and has lots of Bios updates, until 2 weeks ago the Asus Z68 ROG had only 2 Bioses (2XX / 4XX) with the one after those being pulled from Asus site (6XX) but now has 2 new Bioses (7XX Final / 9XX Beta)!
All Mobos are same when young and can improve!
I would not go out and buy a P67 today if anyone asks!
I think its officially a NO-GO
I tried the revo (windows is now installed on it ) in every single slot with one GTX570. Boot, post, load windows and i even tryed ATTO and speed are similar for every single PCIe slot that i have ( tryed 5, got 4 PCIex16 and 1 PCIex4 ) Some of the PCIex16 are by default passing through the NF200 chip so if the NF200 was the issue i think it should not work in some config i tested.
At last, ive put the GTX570 back in slot #1, Revo in slot #3, leaving my last PCIe alone and free to install the second GTX570. Reboot, booted windows, all good in the exact same slot that if i was running my SLI but no SLI.
Installed the Second GTX570, boot, NO REVO ..... nothing. Can only load bios and the revo isnt show anywhere.
I dont have any other choice as for my SLI PCIe arrangement since my cards are 3slot, i MUST use these slot, slots that all work without SLI, But FAIL when SLI ...
My only last try is going to give a chance to 2 new BIOS. Im on 1850, there is a 1904 and 2001 out but they are mostly for compatibility with CPU and memory. Ill give it a shot as soon as i have time.
Thanks anyway for your answer Andres.
Ive sent a Support mail to Asus. Hope they can help. Ive paid for an highend board and i want highend support from them ;)
Im using 3 PCIex16 Slot, theres no raison its not working. Hope they can resolve this.
I tried disabling the port im not using.
Ill give a chance to 2001, this was my next step. Im @ work and tonight im giving my time to my wife. Having a familly diner next morning and work again ... i dont think ill be able to test anything before monday.
Maybe Asus Support give a hint until i try 2001.
Bios 2001 was also a no-go ...
Installed windows back to my Agility 2 240g. I prefer to keep my SLI GTX570.... P11000 3dmark11 with my 24/7 clocks.
A friend will buy the Revo !
improved 3Dmark01 efficiency :)
hmm
oc bios 3Dmark01 ..03..all
some performance In everything, all I know
Hey guys.....can the Z68 max board support the new SB-E chips when they come out? I thought I remembered seeing that they could with a bios update , but just wanted to double check. Probably going with a 2500K until after a few months of the SB-E release some time.
man this stuff gets confusing. OK , so the new Ivy bridge CPU's are supposed to be socket 1155 , and the newer X79 platform is LGA2011?
"Ivy bridge" is a die-shrink of "sandy bridge"
X79, P67, Z68, H61 and all others are chipset that work with socket 1155 or 2011. Socket that accept Sandy or soon Ivy off 1155 or 2011 pins.
Guys i have problem with my m4e.
First i have 4gb of corsair dominator 1866mhz installed on my mobo. Later i put 4 gigs more ( so 4x2GB ). And now i have BSOD, memtest fail. When i checked each mem - all is ok, i checked memory slot - all is ok. And the strange thing, is that when i set mems on 1600mhz 1T 9-9-9-24 all is ok, in stock clocks - 1866mhz 2T 9-9-9-24 - bsod :( What can be wrong ?
which bsod code ?? and did u try to give more V to the memctrl ?
Sorry but i dont remember which bsod code was :(
memctrl - auto
tRFC - auto
OK, i have some screens:
http://www.abload.de/thumb/20111102_1232577114a.jpg http://www.abload.de/thumb/beztytuu84ci0.png
@malik:
do u also bsod @stock clocks @1866mhz on the RAM ?
Only on 1866Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T or 2T at 1.65V ( which are stock clocks and v ). When i give them 1600Mhz everything is ok :/ I checked each memory, each memory slot ( via memtest ) and all are ok. Only on stock value i have unstable pc ( BSOD ).
try 1866mhz with a little bump of more vcore and vccio. bsod b3 indicates less vcore. ;)
so more power to vcore and wccio ? :)
yea, but carefulyl :D little steps... ;)
Higher V gives nothing :( Maybe problem is here:
http://www.abload.de/thumb/beztytuuhsfm8.png
3 x Corsair Dominator GT and 1 x Corsair Dominator ?!?!
I set to 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24 1.65V - work rock stable.
yup, for sure, different mem sticks can cause problems. i thought all ur sticks are equal. :) so drop 2 of them ;)
I need 8 gb for BF3 :P I leave all four on 1600mhz which is stable.
Hello all....
So, does the 2700K early batches overclock really well?
I'm on bios 1850. Should I move to 1904 or 2011?
So what is the best bios as of right now for OC and stability?? im currently running 1850
2001 has been great for me..
only thing is if you enable full phase for ram, dmm measures it goes over by a few mv, but not complaining.. actually helps in some instances :)
http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/9797/hypersucess.png
most stable for me so far so i recommend it
2001 is rock solid for me
I'm also using 2001, on another note I had the Z68 Max IV Extreme & nothing but problems!
2001 ftw !!!
I'm a little confused, the bioses on ASUS's site are 1904 and 2011, I don't see a 2001.
So the 2011 bios and the 2001 is the same thing? then why do you guys call it 2001?
ok, so i just updated to 2001, and i was wondering, did you guys disable HT for BF3? and if yes can i pump more mhz in my cpu without HT?
I had no issues with HT on in BF3 but I can say recent reports of the game not being as much about CPU as the pre launch hype claimed as it ran nearly the same FPS at 1600mhz (locked to powersaving mode) as it did at 4600mhz so is all about the GPU!
I am sad to say I did not enjoy the game.
Most overhyped game ever IMO (SP)!
I have seen peeps all over various forums claiming HT caused stuttering and this was not on SLI set ups, with a few peeps like myself with no issues!
Took me long time to complete as I could not sit and get into it and left it for days!
Funny thing is I liked BC2!
