We are pleased to assist you within the scope of Intel® limited warranty. It could possibly be a BIOS error. Unfortunatly I do not have that specific CPU available for testing at this moment so I cannot confirm its that specific BIOS. I would advise you to try downgrading the BIOS to the following versions. 2747, and if that one doesnt resolve the issue try 2692. You can find them at: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Filt...&OSFullName=OS Independent&lang=eng&sType=prev Kind regards Dale M.Intel® Customer Support (EMEA)Intel Corporation (UK) LimitedRegistered No. 1134945 (England) Registered Office: Pipers Way, Swindon SN3 1RJVAT No: 860 2173 47 A representative of Intel may subsequently contact you (via email) in order to obtain your feedback on the quality of the support you have received. I haven't had the time to test if the bios is indeed the error, too much work on that machine for the moment to swap the QX6700.....
Still, very strange that the Intel guys don't even have their own cpu's in their labs..... :shakes:
Maybe I'll give it a try in the weekend... :(
