Yeah it's looking good, I'm on water and an ultra-d and temps hover around 37-38 on a questionable mount (mounted with the case upright :rolleyes: ). I also managed to remove my 7800gtx from the waterblock without disconnecting the loop, don't ask how I managed that, so that's going out tomorrow and my x1900xt is coming in monday!

So now I get to use an awesome RageXL with 16-bit drivers that won't install on my system.

BTW clockgened up to 2786, still going strong

Only because we have yet to see an 0608MPMW 170, besides you never limited your list to 170s.

well, I think there will be more better than average chips coming out now that the s939 chip is at the end of it's life cycle, the fab process has been refined and the chips coming out are fully optimized.. running at high freqs with lower vcore.. running cooler.. (the ccb1e 0608mpm's run really cool as compared to the 0550vpmw's).. etc.. I would not be surprized to see more chips doing between 2.7 and 2.8 on stock vcore before the very end. just a guess tho...

Most 0550VPMWs are 170s.
0608MPMWs are most 165er.
And thats why i posted the List. There are also X2 3800er

IDK what it is about this cpu, but in sp2004, "cpu 1" fails out instantly when cpu 0 primes away happily @ 2.5ghz...anyone know why/a fix?

One core is always weaker, not much you can do about it. 2.5 Ghz is low tho, probably wants more volts.

yep it was only 1.38v hehe. Core 1 fails about 1 minute into prime @ 1.45v...i'm on a TT BT with IHS off, 42c load right now, how high do you think is okay for these chips? I'm not scared to give her some juice =)

edit : also forgot to mention im on the terrible aspire psu that comes with the x-qpack...5v rail is very good @ 5.16, 3.3v is lacking @ 3.2v, the +12 is REALLLLLLY bad, 11.65. Can't wait to get my fortron 550w :P

Bleh, sorry for double-post, just a complaint that mines not clocking too well :P. It's a CCBWE 0541RPMW, don't know if these are any good. Is the +12v the one that handles the cpu stuff? Because this psu is so bad, my +12 is at 11.26. I think thats why it's taking 1.47v to prime @ 267x9...anyone else think this could be the cause as well?

you need good psu.. +12.00v rail 11.26v bad.. :rolleyes:

I should do that also.. I found the pot set in my psu.. my 12v rail is at 11.83, not too bad, but I would like to have it at 12! it doesn't move at all when I load test also... this topower 750 is pretty solid. :)

I take that back, Im 12.39v in BIOS.

Also the 0550VPMW batch 0667 will be here tommorrow. Cant wait to give it a spin :)

w00t... I just broke down and bought a DFI expert board.. been wanting one of those for a while now.. gonna give the 4 phase power a go for (hopefully) better OCing goodness... it will be interesting to see where the max prime stable OC on default vcore will be with it vs. my SLI-D now.. hrm. prolly not much.. but I am aching for something fun to install. weeeeee.. :)

I am still holding out and waiting to see how the CFX3200 does.

I decided to take the 0550VPMW to ebay without really testing it :D

Cant pass up the cash, I want to pick up a nice 165 for le$$.

I can tell you that dividers worked fine though, had to test that.

:eek: Why? I was really curious about that one.. whether or not it would go past 2600 :(

If you get some nice results, you can ebay it for even more :D

Kinda risky though, what if it really is a dud? I dont want to know :D
