having major problems with stability using 1802
does anyone have a link to the 1903 bios please?
all you had to do was search the thread for 1903 :)

i wish i was back at work, this holiday DIY is killing me :(
1903 has been fine for me
sorry you must have missed my ninja edit
the link 404s
you dont per chance have it available to email to me or another DL location do you?
gentlemen - thankyou both :)
I see that u have Gulftown with R2E. Are u experiencing throttling issues?
no im just getting massive instability
throttling doesnt really happen as it never gets hot enough, the whole system is under good water.
the problem i have is that an Asus P6X58D-E can outclock my rampage at the moment.
thats a £140 board on stock cooling compared to a £280 board with £200 worth of blocks on it
the P6X58D-E board does 4.2 on gulftown by changing the following:
200 bclk
21 multi
1600 ram
1.325 vcore
1.65 vram
my rampage isnt even remotely stable with those settings.
going to try a nehalem chip tonight and see if it is the board
thought a new bios would help as my chip is unreleased but the 1903 doesnt resolve the issue.
its a shame as the board is covered in blocks that i dont really want to sell
It may be RMA time for your mobo.
1802 is working well for me.

tried the nehalem chip and still getting issues.
gonna swap the board out at the weekend.
my hex core chip is not released yet so i was thinking it could require a bios update, but my 920 does the same thing.
ran memtest to eliminate my memory from the problem, this would have been a major problem as OCZ dont make tri channel blade anymore.
all fingers are pointing at the board.
ordered a few meters of tubing so i can redo my waterloop seeing as i have to pretty much rip my whole system apart to remove the board :(
tried every combo under the sun
bclk @ 160/180/191/200/205/210 etc
i do about 20 overclocks a day at work so i know how the board should be reacting
well ive tried every GT bios available, ran the 1802 since feb and not changed since getting the 1903 on the 13th of this month
got my replacement on test behind me at the moment with a 980x in the board
its sat at 200X21 1.325vcore 1.65vram.
currently about to pass its 25th hour of prime+memtest
so I think i will swap out for that one. did consider a new board but i like my blocks on my rampage and the board matches my build and requirements quite well.
got the same problem now, never had this before ..... everything above 200 results in instability, my old i7 950 run's @ 220 and above,
i changed the i7 950 with a w3520, no more blck above 200 - dunno, tested a lot combinations - nothing worked .....
to go above 220 bclk i needed to up the pci-e freq to about 106 (iv had it up to 119, so 106 is safe). but be warned you may get some stuttering from the graphics because of the high pci-e freq.
BTW, i couldnt get my 950 to 3D above 218 bclk (5020mhz)
Anyone having issues with the gpu latches braking off? Both of mine has snapped off removing and installing a few cards.
Guys please help me reset my OC, somehow moving the box to another spot reset everything !
I7 920 w/Noctua NOC-HU12P-SE heatsink
Rampage II Extreme
OCZ 6 GB Reaper (3x2gb triple channel)(OCZ3RPR1866C9LV6GK)
EVGA GTX260
CPU voltage?
Ram voltage?
RAM timings?
others?
I wouldnt mind just running 4.0 or even 3.8 :)
thanks!
For me with the bios 1504 the MAX BCLK STABLE 221X19
